from the chair: New Moon in Pisces 22nd February 2012 AEST

Hi everyone!

Smile and the world smiles with you......smile through the tears of relief...joyous reunion is possible this month! The floodgates will be open for immense healing. The New Moon on 22nd followed by a Full Moon in Virgo two weeks later indicates the whole month will be a releasing and healing of unresolved core energies thus setting us up for the Equinox/Sun into Aries on 20th March when we’ll recognise that there’s been a shift.

Let’s feel the ocean tides...out with the old and in with the new...the tides of change will take out the ‘old’ and bring in the ‘new’ all at the same time:

Pisces is the last month of the astrological year so it offers ‘finishing up’/completing energy and the focus is getting out of the energies of self-undoing, self-blame, martyrdom, imprisonment in mind/body/spirit. Pisces rules these energies as well as the great unconscious of past lives/alternate realities. We have never had stronger cosmic power to support us in breaking out of the prisons of past memories (conscious and/or unconscious). We just have to allow. Imagine lying on the shore as the gentle ocean waves wash over you in an absolute state of surrender.

Letting go of self-blame, self-punishment, regret etc. is particularly appropriate at this time. Let it go and swim on to be the beautiful rainbow fish.

Over the next few weeks the universal forces take us to a new place of surrender, to help us to go with the flow as the watery energies take over. Resistance will be futile and with both Saturn (the great taskmaster of karma, structure and manifestation) and Mars (our fiery drive for action) both retrograde, we’re not travelling with any speed. So, forget the speedboats this month.

Welcome to the Pisces energy which is going to be full on for the next few weeks. The question we need to consider during this time...are we in the water, swimming, snorkelling, diving to the depths or we travelling on the water at a sedate speed. Slow moving vessels which take in ‘the scenery’ will definitely suit this next month.

Water, water everywhere!:

We’ve got the Sun moving into Pisces on 19th.

Mercury, Chiron, Mercury and Neptune are all in Pisces close to the Sun for the few days following 19th.

When the New Moon follows on 21st, we’ll have 5 ‘planets’ all in Pisces!

19th February: Sun moves into Pisces...floating is definitely the way to go...the less effort you put in, the better! Surrender to the flow.

When the Sun moves into Pisces it will meet Neptune (ruler of Pisces) at 0 degrees Pisces travelling together for a few days along with Chiron in Pisces. A huge release and healing of our personal and collective emotions is possible. The sunlight dries up the rain and heals the emotions if we allow it to do so. Remember, the emotions you may feel are not just about you. Pisces represents the collective unconscious, the untapped oceans of collective memory. Dissolving the barriers to healing will be a key energy, letting the emotions flow through.

Because this activity all happens in the dark of the moon, 3 days before the New Moon, it’s a real call to elevate our emotions and vision to the best that can be offered by Pisces and the Neptunian energy. If we’ve already cleared so much of what we’ve needed to do, we may well experience this whole energy as tears of joy and deliverance.

Watch out for messages: Mercury is not far from the Sun and the New Moon so messages from the universe are more than likely...maybe insights about wounds that have held you back, collective wounds you now need to unload. The key is to call in a more evolved state of being...moving from the path of pain, suffering, limitation, restriction, self-undoing (all Pisces energies) to the idealism and beauty of the highly evolved spiritual energies of beauty, artistry and harmony (the expression of the developed Pisces energies).

Getting our ‘fish’ to work together: The symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in opposite directions.

All dual signs know about the balancing act needed to come to peace. With Pisces, be aware of the two directions pulling on you which have the potential to pull you apart. When the going gets tough, the fish is likely to swim away.

22nd February: New Moon in Pisces, 9.34 am AEDT 3 degrees Pisces...new vision, fresh start as the cell memories release ‘trapped’ emotions!

Just as we think we’re through the Pisces experience, along comes the New Moon in Pisces which offers us a fresh start, a fresh perspective. Like the Sun, it too is going over Neptune BEFORE the New moon in the lunar period we call the dark of the moon – 3 days before the New Moon arrives. This is the release period of ‘old’ energies before the New Moon arrives which means we’ll be feeling the influence of this release from the 18th/19th...when the Sun enters Pisces. It’s going to be a powerful opportunity for release for us all...whether or not we know what is happening.

Riding the wave of healing: The Sun and Moon will be close to Neptune and Chiron, both in the early degrees of Pisces...there is no way we can escape the wave of healing coming in with this new moon. Let the healing waters dissolve the wounds and pain of the past. Walls and barriers to change will be washed away.

If we allow the change, we’ll ride the wave...fight it and you’ll go under.

A New Moon, new directions: At the New Moon, the Sun and Moon are working together on the same degree in the same sign so both of them are on the same page. Unlike the Full Moon where emotions rule the day and do battle with the Sun, the New Moon is a lighter energy quietly creeping into our psyches. We might get the ideas the first week after the New Moon but often don’t take action till the beginning of the week after, the first quarter. It’s like all the pieces have to come together. Remember, the ideas are likely to be fluid and take symbolic forms...visions, pictures, music, dance, song.

Dream big: With Pisces energy, the sea of limitless possibilities opens up. Some of these possibilities may seem fantastical and ridiculous. This is the positive side of Pisces, expanding our vision to almost seem delusional. But then, how many new ideas, inventions would ever have come into being if someone hadn’t stepped outside the bounds of current physical reality and dared to dream big!

It’s possible you may feel the call to go in new directions...be open to changes which are more aligned with your destiny and fulfilment of your divine potential.

Paddle your own canoe: Well folks, all I can say is ‘Happy Travelling’ in negotiating the oceans of the unconscious, the ‘oceans of emotion’ (Enya). Whatever our choice of transport, it will be a chance to ‘paddle our own canoe’ through the mass consciousness...where do I end and where does the world begin??? This month we’ll find out.

We are one, the ocean of humanity: We’ll probably discover ourselves as rainbow fish, united in one consciousness...let’s hope so!
