1st January 2014 New Moon in Capricorn

Hi everyone!  Happy New Year!

And what a New Year it is!!!  Welcome to Planet Earth!

Are you ready for the leap of faith?  What...another one?!!!
This one’s going to be easy peasy with our inner goat in charge, leading us into the new year!  Capricorn is security conscious!

If we’re on track, hopes and dreams in our magical carpet bag, confident yet humble, resolute and flexible, loving and compassionate, inspired by our ‘calling’...then expect good things.

High hopes and great heights are calling us to to leap confidently into the future!

We are the world, we are the children:
A New Moon in Capricorn welcoming us on New Year’s Day guarantees a big earth party this year.  This year, if it’s not in the best interests of the earth and all who dwell upon her, it will struggle to take root and grow.

This year, fortunes will be made and lost, careers and enterprises will burgeon and others will fall by the wayside, leaders will rise and others will fall, systems and governments will be challenged to support all or crumble.

Win/win is possible:    This year, success will depend on our alignment with our personal path and with the earth’s evolution and growth. Stay tuned to your deepest desires and to the earth for a win/win year.

What’s been happening:
The solstice planetary ‘new year’ followed by the empty space:

The turning point solstice energies shifted us, even if you are yet unaware of how we’ve been shifted.

That may be yet to fully manifest in our physical worlds as we have been inundated with light energy pouring into the earth, connecting with us all at the centre of our being.

Painting: ‘Messiah’ – Rassouli

From the solstice:    In the inter-dimensional decompression chamber!
We’ve been Inhabiting the ‘void’, the empty space between worlds, straddling the 3rd and 5th dimensions of consciousness.  We all have the ‘world of muggledom’, the 3rd dimension within us as we live on planet earth which is still dominated by that dimension.  However, we are reaching to incorporate ‘the magical reality’ of the 5th dimension.  It is all about perception.

Christmas, a changing of the status quo:    Love becoming real!
Did you find, lose and/or reclaim the Christmas spirit?
Did you notice the subtle shift in attitudes around Christmas?

It seemed that for many people, whatever had been the status quo, was shifted in terms of values and attitudes, particularly evident in the build up to Christmas and its celebration.

A New energy:    Those who had previously not felt fully connected to the joy of Christmas had their hearts opened to a greater experience of love and connectedness.  On the other hand, it was clear that many who have loved Christmas, suddenly felt burdened, even jaded by the rituals of Christmas. Their perceptions and values were also being shifted from the joy of the old ways to a questioning and re-evaluation of what makes for joy and happiness.  What about 2014 Christmas every day!

Disconnecting from the matrix of consumerism as an addiction:    Discovering material comfort and security based on the power of love.

We’ve been disconnecting from the matrix of consumerism and dependence on money and materialism as the primary means of finding joy and celebration.  2014 promises to build on this disconnect from the prominence of materialism in our lives as the realities of economic shifts begin to take hold across the planet.  No, I’m talking about ‘hard times’ but about a more solid planting of ourselves in our earthly dimensions.  In 2014, hedonism as the admirable ideal and desirable paradigm for living, will be challenged.

Values getting ‘real’:    Priorities become important!
Venus in Capricorn – getting our priorities and values.
Venus retrograding in Capricorn worked her energies leading into Christmas. Venus is about values and Capricorn is about ‘getting real’!   Getting ‘real’ is not about seeing the glass half empty...contrary to the view of many pessimists who claim they are ‘realists’. We’re getting in touch with our ‘bottom line’, our number one priority with respect to love and happiness.

New experiences of love and happiness replace the old value system:
New ways of seeing and experiencing the world!
The value of what was once important, what once brought joy, is getting a subtle shift in energy as we start to experience a different kind of joy.  Maybe you experienced the sadness of letting go of past ways of feeling joyful and opened to a deeper connectedness to yourself and significant others during this time.  This kind of energy, reviewing what gives us pleasure and happiness, what is of greatest value, will be with us for some time as Venus continues to retrograde through Capricorn until the very end of January.

From Christmas Eve through to about 27th December:
Mars opposition Uranus potential for anger and accidents
...mitigated by Mars in Libra!
This aspect certainly had within it the potential for inflammatory and sudden reactionary behaviour.  Within all challenging aspects, there’s always the potential to take the higher path and move towards peace, resolution and love.  Mars, our masculine warrior energy, is being roadtested in Libra, the sign of peace, harmony and justice.  Mars is learning to practise a new way of being, the way of peace and love.

Greater desire for peace and oneness:
Whilst there was inflammation of world wide events in the Gaza strip as well as the Sudan, there seemed to be a more widespread energy of peace, justice and love permeating the Christmas period.  Many more positive energies seemed to be manifesting.  Healing of rifts within families seemed to be prominent as well as the building of stronger bridges of commonality within the family.

Love is beginning to manifest at the grassroots level of home and family!
The message of 2013, reaching for the energy of love, compassion, justice and mercy seems to be manifesting in so many ways.  More people are waking up and taking action in the way that best represents their own personal path, whether it be in the everyday world of home and family, in taking political action or in spiritual practices and conscious light work.  We all are called to do what is right for us.
Home is where the heart is!

Are we taking good care of ourselves and of those in our care?
Accidents are raising awareness about love and responsibility.
I’ve noticed so many of the ‘accidents’ happening seemed to have a more disastrous result when those involved are forgetting to look after themselves by taking risks beyond the leap of faith.  Not wearing car seat belts, not wearing lifejackets on the water, taking climbing harnesses off while on a cliff face, driving faster than driving abilities can accommodate.  I see children drowning because of lack of parental awareness, lack of lifejackets near water, shortfalls of consciousness in protection of young ones. The bottom line is awareness.  It always is.

Beware!  Be aware:   Eyes wide open, mind engaged!

Has it always been this way?  I don’t know.  Of course some ‘accidents’ are beyond our personal control on the physical level.  I do not wish to make a blanket statement about accidents per se.  I observe the world and the patterns and behaviours manifesting ‘out there’ and it just seems more people are being awakened to becoming aware of their environment and how they and their loved ones move through that environment. With Uranus in Aries for some years yet, the freaky one-off type accidents will continue as souls complete their journey this lifetime.

Personal responsibility and self-love:    Increasing focus for 2014
The issue of personal responsibility and loving protection of self and others will continue to demand our attention in the year ahead.  The blame game is coming to an end and it will be a slow process.  We will eventually learn to be love, be loving and kind to ourselves and others.

From 30th December to 1st January:   Crossroads!

The dark of the moon
...releasing the old energies from the past month!

New Year’s Eve:

An extra big letting go!

Out with the old energies within the dark of the moon!

We tend to release the old year before we go into new year.  This time, the cosmos is supporting us big time as the days leading up to the New Year will be in the dark of the moon which is the time of release before the New Moon.

30th to 31st December:
Mars in Libra squares/challenges Pluto and Mercury in Capricorn...Explosive!
Within the dark of the moon release time,  we have the volatile Uranus/Pluto square being triggered by Mars in Libra.  With Jupiter in play too, we have a Grand Cardinal Cross!  Sudden war-like conflicts are possible as people clear the air. Trust that all is good even if sudden and explosive.  Potential for healing is here.

Jupiter in Cancer squaring off to Mars and Uranus and opposing the Pluto/Mercury combo
With Jupiter in Cancer, emotions are likely to expand and release in the family/home environment.  However, it won’t be confined to just that area.  Jupiter’s not a big player in this set up but is still within reaching distance to impact the whole lot of them, expanding the energies beyond the norm. Issues, if there are any, could become bigger than Ben Hur!

Angry words...not birds:
With Mercury aligning with Pluto in Capricorn, there’s a strong likelihood there could be a clearing of the air with fiery and possibly angry emotions triggered into argument and dispute.  It’s likely to be explode quickly, suddenly like lightning.

Choose peace:    With Mars in Libra, it’s possible that these angry, explosive energies can be brought to peace given people’s readiness to let go of arguing and fighting.  It is possible that things will not escalate into war like situations.

Out of date, out of mind...and heart:
Anything that is past its use-by date may well get the heave ho in the energies of the lunar and New Year’s Eve ‘letting go of the past’ madness that can take hold at this time.  At least it’s not happening at a full moon when we could really go over the top with emotional release and later regret.  This is a perfect energy to let go of whatever’s holding you back.

Capricorn energies may temper the volatile energies of New Year’s Eve:  Common sense taking hold...maybe???
Capricorn is not really a party animal as it is more included to quieter and more serious pursuits.  When it comes to the crunch, Capricorn is sober and sensible calling on common sense wisdom.  The Capricorn energies will offer some kind of security blanket in this time of sudden and radical change and departure from the norm.

Prison walls break open:

Mental constructs and social conditioning collapse with Mercury/Pluto united!

Nevertheless, the shifts and turns energetically from 30th through into the New Year week, promise to surprise and release us from constricting forces which have been dogging our footsteps for too long.   Suddenly, the door of consciousness is open and recognising the truth of who you are, what you desire and your pathway forward...at least for the next week or two.

‘You take the high road and I’ll take the low road’ could very well be the catchcry of this time as we head up to the hills on the wings of freedom.  So, if you see people taking a ‘nosedive’, trust that they are ready to plunge into the forest in order to find their own liberation.   For many of us, we’ll be moving out of the forest onto on the open pathway taking us up that mountain.

Karmic ties and bonds being released:

We may find a parting of the ways with people and places in your lives as our karmic burdens are lifted from us as our ‘brothers and sisters’ pick up their karmic responsibilities which we have been carrying for them, until such time as they were able and willing to step onto their pathway and take responsibility for their spiritual growth.

Karmic bonds fall away from us as our fellow human beings take up the load we have been carrying for them.  It’s all good.  They’re ready and able!

Grand Cardinal Cross:    Ongoing theme until July 2014
The energies above of the Grand Cardinal Cross are with us for some time, coming and going as the planets move, retrograde and connect in the cross formation. It’s very much a releasing energy which offers movement and action, releasing within us the initiative to take action.
More on this with next update.

1st January:    New Moon in Capricorn at 10 degrees 57 Capricorn at 10.14 pm AEDT

A New Moon on New Year’s Day!   A VERY BIG fresh start of significance!
A New Moon is a new start for the month and for the Capricorn energies until 2015.  A New Moon on New Year’s day means we are being fully aligned in the planetary and mundane worlds.

At the New Moon:
Stellium of planets in Capricorn!
Initiative and drive to succeed!
The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto are in very close connection adding weight to the Capricorn significance of this New Moon energy.  Let’s make a fresh start with clarity and alignment of mind (Mercury) with our higher authority.  Pluto is guaranteeing this New Moon will be transformational for us and for the earth.

A shift in planetary work:
Taking responsibility and authority for your path!
Pluto rules death, rebirth and transformation and lined up with the New Moon, Mercury and the Sun, there are messages that we’re at a culminating point for a shift in gear with the planetary work.  The Sun is light and in Capricorn, is light on the earth, in the earth, around the earth!

Mastery in the physical world:    Bringing dreams and hopes to earth!
Capricorn calls us to mastery of the earthly dimension. We are being called to focus our spiritual, emotional and mental energies into the everyday world of matter.

Maintain spiritual connection:
Reality checks all the way!
This year is a perfect time for manifesting on the physical realm that which is our divine destiny, our highest fulfilment.

If you’re running after a goal and you’re being constantly blocked and/or delayed, reconsider whether it’s about right timing and/or about ‘right’ course of action.

The focus on the Capricorn materialism will work for us providing we counterbalance such materialistic desires with our spiritual growth and evolution.

Material goals must match spiritual goals:
If our work in the world doesn’t match up to the spirit of who we are, our efforts will fall short. There is a need to keep aligned with the higher path so you don’t get derailed by material and/or worldly success such as admiration and fame.

New Moon/New Year :  Trust that your direction and goals will be revealed if this is not already growing within you.  It’s time to get ready to launch into your new life, slowly and carefully.

Money and work:    Ambition and drive for success!
Capricorn is concerned with success through the physical world of work and financial security. This energy is a driving force for ambition, commitment, determination and resolution.  Capricorn calls us to the top of the mountain, to the top of our game.  Power and being drunk with power is an undermining force that needs to be acknowledged as a present force through this year.

Capricorn energises responsibility and duty:    Remember self-love...no ‘over giving’, no ‘overdoing’ at the expense of your energy and your life force!
The greatest challenge will be to stay off the treadmill of overworking and labouring at the expense of joy. Keep cross checking your behaviour and responses to what’s happening in your life.  If you’re feeling overburdened by ‘duty’, chances are you need a break.

Capricorn earth energy ruled by Saturn:
Saturn is masculine energy symbolising authority, the father, the patriarchy.  So, imagine what kind of change is imminent in relation to the dominance of the earth by the authoritarian energies of the despots, the old style patriarchal energies.

Saturn ruled Capricorn is in for the long haul:

For eternity!!!!

Capricorn will help us see things through to completion!

Gifts of the Capricorn New Moon/New Year’s Day energy:
Help is at hand!

Persistence, endurance, fortitude and patience:
This year we’ll feel the reinforcement of a solid strength behind us as we take the easy climb of our own personal mountains of enacting our talents in the world.

Dedication and commitment:
Saturn is a powerful energy for helping us get through the most challenging aspects of our journey.  He demands absolute commitment and dedication to the task at hand.  There’s no slouching off under the Saturn ruled Capricorn energy.

Security, responsibility and surety:
Maintain your footing and flexibility this year, regardless of what destabilises your world.  The goat leaps in the sure knowledge that there is a foothold on the cliff.  Leaping is fine providing you have a strong sense of inner security in your spiritual knowledge and the right path forward.
New Year’s Eve 2000 Sydney

Just remember to take time out to play!

We are the world, we are the children

Time to march to the beat of your own drum!

Supermoon 1st January:
New Moon in Capricorn...A supermoon = close to the earth!

This New Moon is what’s called a Supermoon, which refers to its proximity to the earth.  You won’t be able to see this as at the New Moon, we are actually in darkness.  A couple of days later, we see the crescent moon which most of view as the manifestation of the new moon energy.

The fact that this is a supermoon and the closest supermoon to earth this year, is a reinforcement of the importance of earth energy this year.

There’s another one with the New Moon in Aquarius on 31st January.

 5 supermoons in 2014.

More on the supermoons and supermoons for 2014: http://earthsky.org/space/what-is-a-supermoon
Quotes from above website:   What is a supermoon?
We confess: before a few years ago, we in astronomy had never heard that term. To the best of our knowledge, the term supermoon was coined by the astrologer Richard Nolle over 30 years ago. The term is only now coming into popular usage. Nolle has defined a supermoon as:     … a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit.
The year 2014 gives us a total of five supermoons: two January new moons, and the full moons of July, August and September. January 1, 2014 is the first supermoon of the year, and January 30 is the second. Thus January 2014 has two supermoons in a single calendar month. We won’t have a single calendar month with two supermoons again until January 2018. Follow the links below to learn more about the supermoons of 2014, about what makes a moon a supermoon, and more.

Sabian Symbol for the New Moon and Sun:
Pheasants Display Their Brilliant Colors on a Private Estate’

From Linda Hill:    http://sabiansymbols.typepad.com/
Pheasants Display Their Brilliant Colors on a Private Estate’ is an image of beauty, color and wealth. It pictures a situation of the enjoyment of life’s luxuries. The ‘Pheasants’ are beautiful as they ‘Display Their Brilliant Colors’. They have long tails and brilliantly colored plumage. People are drawn to their beauty and can be awed by their presence. That they are on ‘A Private Estate’ shows an environment of privilege and security.
This can picture going after one’s life goals. Riches, refinement and abundance are everywhere. However, just take care: ‘Pheasants’ can be game birds, so there may be an element of underlying danger. Displays of wealth and beauty can inspire others, but they can also lead to jealousy and begrudging acknowledgments. That this place is pictured as a ‘Private Estate’ signifies that it may need to be protected, and kept ‘Private’. People who don’t belong there may be able to come and visit, but it may be that they’re really invading someone else’s space or privacy. The visitors need to show respect and courtesy and not presume that they can move in and take over. On the other hand, being ‘Private’, this place may not be truly welcoming to people; they may find it unwelcoming and forbidding in some way. There may be difficulty in keeping up with the amount of work that goes into the maintenance of this ‘Private Estate’ it may take a lot of time to look after the house and grounds. Who does the work and who appreciates the luxury? Looking after the lawn and the garden can bring a feeling of improved well-being. Regardless of whether you’re a visitor or an occupant, just going out and looking at the beauty of the place, the plants and the wildlife can heighten your day.
Keywords: Glorious houses and estates. Lawns and gardens. Statues and birdbaths. Peacocks, pheasants, swans, etc. Enjoying the riches the environment offers. Large plots of land. Nature reserves. Game birds. Aristocracy and the ruling elite. Beauty, elegance and grace. Fabulous displays of color. Parks.
The Caution: Foolish disregard of pending danger. Feeling that one has to be “on parade” or else they will be overlooked. Issues of standing out from the crowd. Jealousy and envy through things on display. Luxury and beauty or snobbery that excludes. Showing
off. “Do not enter” signs.
