from the chair: 6th April 2014 Venus into Pisces, 8th April: Mercury into Aries

What’s been happening:

What a week! Travelling in the fire of the Aries Sun with our feet well and truly still in the watery energies of the emotional signs of Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer.

Foretaste of the Grand Cross of 20th to 23rd April:

Most significantly, this past week, we had a series of transits triggering the Sun, Uranus and Pluto which helped us drop a whole load of ‘old baggage’. It wasn’t necessarily traumatic. Depends on your situation. But it did give a few jolts, shifts, insights and changes which are likely to re-emerge with the Grand Cross.

Maybe you had a significant dream, had a sudden shift in thinking, feeling and in the physical.

Mars retrograde: Physical clearing and recalibration continuing!

Focussing our power, prioritising for greatest use of drive and will power:

We’re on the move albeit a little on the slow side with Mars still retrograding, recalibrating our physical bodies, channelling our passion and drive through a more focussed energy.

If you are not feeling the ‘Mars’ impact in the body, you are very fortunate. Many people are experiencing the bodily impact in all sorts of strange ways.

Solar activity over the past week:

Aurora from Russia on 6th April

Geomagnetic activity on 5th/6th April and the resultant aurora! The significant solar flare of the past week was echoed in the geomagnetic disturbance and thence, the aurora.

Whenever we have significant and/or ongoing solar activity, we’re getting an influx of light energy coming to the planet. Whether or not we feel this impact is entirely individual and depends on our awareness, sensitivity and of course how the planets are lining up in our own natal charts.

I just couldn’t resist sending this picture out as I felt the visual impact as a strong ‘umbrella’ of violet light energy with a pale green edge to it. As I ‘read’ anything in terms of symbology, this aurora spoke to me of the incredible healing happening on the planet.

To me, this reflects the spiritual healing through love, forgiveness, compassion and mercy which is being made available to us on the planet, even as it seems the ‘forces of oppression’ keep finding more nails to hammer in the coffin of freedom!

We’re all being called to hold to the heart energy of love and forgiveness, even as we feel the anger or resentment at the injustices in our world. We are hearing more news than ever before and sometimes it feels like overload.

I wonder if it’s possible to sue governments for perpetuating despair along with all the attendant acts of cruelty and inequity on the physical level. I take heart in the messages of the cosmos. This month is bringing things to a head once again with the 5th of 7 Uranus/Pluto squares which is all about changing attitudes and values in government, big business and money institutions.

Venus and Mercury change signs:

Hearts and minds working with new energies

This week, two personal planets change signs. These two signs rule heart/Venus and mind/Mercury. The challenge will be getting them to work together through the next few weeks, from 8th until 23rd. It will require conscious effort to slow the mind down enough to listen to the inspired ideas flowing from the heart.

The mind will be way out ahead at a gallop with Mercury blazing its way through Aries! Mercury is air and with Aries, fuels the energy of action!!!

The heart will be lolling about on the li-lo, dreaming about the limitless possibilities which open the heart to love!

Preparing the way for the Full Moon in Libra on 15th April:

A full lunar eclipse and what’s become known as a ‘blood moon’ which has no particular astrological significance. However, symbolically, the moon going red can mean a whole heap of inner fiery transformation. More on the next update. All sorts of significance attached to ‘blood moons’ especially as we have 4 in a row through 2015, relating to Christian predictions. I will include a link next week. However, there’s a number of articles on the net.

6th April: Venus moves into Pisces 6.30 am AEST...hearts and spirits opened to universal love!

Heart inspiration on tap!

The idealism of Pisces takes us to dreamland and the highest inspiration...providing we listen to our hearts and take time out to be still and quiet, meditative, contemplative.

Let your heart sing!

Venus is the heart, is love! In Pisces, the heart energy has the opportunity to be expanded, uplifted and to experience the more exalted states of spiritual love.

When we experience the ‘spiritual’ love through these energies, we experience an expanded state of our own being and we’re offered the feelings and insights of a more exalted state of living on earth, even as we float in the watery dimensions of Pisces.

Let yourself float and dream!

To experience the full benefit of this energy, we need to make a conscious effort to relax. If you can be in the water, ocean/pool/bath etc., that’s fine. If you’re not in a position to do this physically, then meditate, imagine, contemplate yourself floating and immersing in the water.

Music and Art giving messages:

No, NOT painting by numbers!

Pisces rules art and music, all fluid forms of communication symbolically. Open your mind and heart to the messages being offered up by these symbolic forms whether through human creation or through natural forms on the earth. You may well feel motivated to take to artistic forms of expression yourself. If you’re already creating art, then an expansion of new possibilities may emerge from the ether.

Romantic feelings: the exalted heart!

Feeling in love with the world!

With the heart opening to higher states of being and to soul love, you are likely to feel a more expanded love and compassion for others as well as a deeper soul connection. This could be a bit like the expanded state of love one feels when at a retreat or gathering of soul family.

When we’re in this state, we’re more likely to see people ‘spiritually’, to see their soul. This is when we fall in love. It would follow that when we stop seeing the soul of another, we can fall out of love. This is just my ‘take’ on romantic love.

Aries is all fire, movement, initiation, action, drive and ambition!

Mercury, our mind, will be fired with new possibilities and providing we listen to the inspirational possibilities being presented by Venus/our heart in Pisces, we’re on to a good thing.

Now, the Aries energy is going to fire us up in Mercury ruled areas:

A window of opportunity until 23rd April: The mind fired for action!

We’ve got 15 days of this energy, so make the most of the potential to experience the passion of the mind given full play. This energy will take us through the Full Moon Lunar eclipse on 15th and then through the Grand Cardinal Cross coming to fullness from 20th to 23rd, when a whole lot of barriers will fall!

Beware: impulsive, impetuous words and actions!

Just listen to the heart and take a breath before blurting out without thought!

Communication: More of it and faster!

Likely to be talking, thinking and probably acting faster! Beware gabbling and garbled speech!

Keeping mind and heart in balance and playing the same tune:

Mercury in fiery Aries and Venus in emotional Pisces until 3rd May!

Mind on fire, heart floating in dreamland! Keep the balance!

It's important to be aware of working with these two energies from 8th April to 3rd May, as they have the potential to pull us in different directions and we'll find we're out of kilter.

Ego and spirit need to be attuned to each other:

The mind is strong in Aries, with a tendency for the ego to take hold, but we need to remember that water douses fire and that the watery energy of Venus in Pisces is very strong in its quiet watery way and will demand to be heard by our soul.
