21st May 2014 Sun moves into Gemini

Hi everyone!

This is a photo of last week’s Full Moon shining on ‘The Three Sisters’, a famous rocky outcrop of 3 sentinels at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains Australia...where I live.  Much Aboriginal folk lore is associated with these ‘3 sisters’ once believed to be the 7 sisters of the Pleiades.  Like the native American Indians, the Australian Aboriginal people have stories about the ‘star nations’, particularly the Pleiades and Sirius, the brightest fixed star in our skies.

What’s been happening:  Letting go of the karmic burdens.
Last week’s Scorpio Full Moon was a beauty in more ways than one!
We’re dropping off so much karmic baggage and the burden of damaging belief systems carried on this earth for so long.  Time for letting go of any memories, karmic patterns and belief systems that life is pain, suffering and hard work.

Out of the eclipse vortex:  looking for action!
You’ve probably been feeling the urge to get going, especially in the last week when Mercury moved ‘home’ to Gemini.  Mars and Mercury both like movement and SPEED!  You probably felt like the mind was way ahead of the body.  Mars is going to start catching up this week.  Breathe a sigh of relief!  We won’t be back to full capacity for about 7 to 10 days.

The past month under the Taurus Sun:
slow and ponderous, grounding and earthy!
The Sun has been travelling through Taurus, an earth sign, a sign which governs the material world, the physical dimension, which means it’s been a slow and ponderous month. We’ve been called to ground, to go to ground, to rest and regenerate our physical beings and restore our wellbeing.  Mars retrograde has added to this slowdown physically.

What’s coming in:
Lifting off!  Two significant events this week...both offering forward movement and change!
Mars stations direct after 10 weeks of retrograde movement and the Sun moves into Gemini.  Mars and Mercury (Gemini’s ruler) are the two planets which give speed and movement.

A warning:    Still some slowing of energies
Mars will take a little while to get up speed and Mercury is about to move into retrograde shadow, preparing to go retrograde on 6th June.

Be assured, we will notice a difference in getting things moving in our lives and reclaiming our bodies, ready for action.

20th May:
Mars stations direct at 11.31 am AEST at 9 degrees 2 Libra...yippee!

Out of the eclipse tunnel and crossing a bridge into new territory!

Fire up the engines!
Mars is changing direction out of retrograde direction and moving forward!

Moving FORWARD:   Mars/our drive and fire, is on the move!   Finally!!!!
As of 20th, Mars is gathering steam and very slowly moving FORWARD! Mars has been in retrograde since the beginning of March, 2 and a 1/2 months of slowdown and lessening of drive and passion.

For next 7 to 10 days:
Slowly, slowly, gradually gathering speed!  Still need for patience!
When planets change direction, they virtually come to a standstill before they move in their new direction, forward or retrograde.  So, be aware that we’re not travelling at full speed just yet.
It will take a little while for our engines to gain momentum, so be patient just a bit longer whilst we reclaim our physical bodies and action in the world.

Mars in Libra until July:    Ongoing balancing act!
Mars doesn’t move out of Libra until the last week of July, when it will move on to Scorpio.  It’s been an extra long transit for Mars in Libra, not the most comfortable sign for Mars as Libra demands balance between action and stillness, drive and waiting, extroverted and introverted energies.  Our Mars fire energy has been very much contained and getting a workover.  How he’s transformed will manifest fully when he moves into Scorpio.  Mars was originally ruler of Scorpio. In Scorpio, we’ll find out how much he’s learned about working in harmony with the Venusian energies of balance, harmony and peace.

Between now and July:   'Everything old is new again'
Mars still in Libra, moving out of retrograde ‘shadow’ in mid July...but on the move!
We’re covering ‘old’ territory between now and mid July.  That means we might find ourselves revisiting some issues and finding either we need to do some final clearing up or that ‘old’ issues are cleared already.  We might find out exactly how much we have resolved and experience some deep healing peace.

Being the Little Red Engine:  ‘I think I can’...I can!
The little red engine was chuffing along ‘til he came to a great big hill
He said I must chuff and never stop
I must chuff, chuff, chuff ‘til I reach the top
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can
And he chuffed right over the hill
WHOO-OO-WHOO!

20th May:  Mars stationing direct...all steamed up and nowhere to go!
Slow physically, tired, exhausted, emotional...take your pick!
You may well have felt a few ‘wobblies’ on 20th when Mars came to stillness.  Again, depends on the particular impact in your natal chart, your particular ‘brief’.  However, many of you could well have felt exhausted, emotional, irritated, angry, fearful, depressed, grief struck or any other number of emotions as the physical body was releasing so much karmic memory. The slow down/standstill was coming in for the past week and is still with us, although the crucial turning point time would have felt most uncomfortable.

It felt like so much unresolved cell memory was being flushed out of the physical body.  Mars is our body and when we are releasing from it, we are likely to feel wrung out with a need for rest and recovery.  We just can’t operate in our regular way in the physical world.

Stephanie Azaria’s ‘Daily Weather’  sums it up:    www.cosmicpath.com
May 20
That was a bumpy Mars station, wasn’t it? Maybe it’s because Mars rules the physical body and all of our energy and Libra is the sign that presides over our physicality, (that is, BEING physical), together with the fact that we have just been through a huge process of physical transmutation, that this turning around of Mars is SO different from any other time. We are not what we were when Mars went retrograde. We are so completely transformed. We now need to navigate our way back to the end of Libra, the master degree, where we will once again be able to realize dominion over our new physicality.

21st May:    Sun moves into Gemini at 12.59 pm AEST...breath of fresh air!  Spread your wings!

Lighten up: Time  to fly!  Stretching the mind!  Chat, tweet & message!
Gemini is an air sign, sign which governs the mind, the world of ideas and communication as well as commerce, teaching and learning.  All these areas come under the spotlight for the next month until the Equinox.  Gemini thrives on interaction and communication with others.  It’s a talk fest...exhausting, stimulating and fun.

Mingle, mingle, mingle:  Let’s party!
Mercury, Gemini’s ruler,  likes speed, movement and lots of action and interaction with others.  Looks like a busy month with plenty of socialising and networking, learning and growing through the mental connections!

Balloons at the ready:

Floating ideas, dreams:

A melting pot of ‘smarties’!
The Gemini energy ignites the mind with a million ideas mixing and matching with each other in a creative melting pot creating new possibilities.  It’s about exploring, investigating and experiencing the adventure of the expanded mind.

Commercial ventures:    Lift off!
At least until Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, turns retrograde on 6th June.
Make the most of the Gemini networking, communication and social skills during this time to establish new contacts in your field of endeavour.

Mercury retrograde:  6th to 30th June
A good part of the Gemini Sun period will be with Mercury retrograde, which means Mercury has an extended stay in Gemini this year.  That time will be spent reviewing, clarifying, gathering data and honing our mental approach to life.  At least it will give some much needed breathing space from the Mercury in Gemini period which has been hurrying our minds ahead of our physical existence which, with Mars retrograde, hasn’t been able to keep up.

Spiritually:
Gemini is represented by ‘the twins’, a dual sign calling for balance!
Gemini is one of the dual signs which challenge us to maintain balance in our lives.  For Gemini, our mind is the key as it is a mentally focussed energy which can pull us in two conflicting directions, if we allow that to happen.  This energy is about allowing both sides of our minds and hearts, the artistic and the intellectual, the introvert and the extrovert, the passive and the active...to have full expression in our lives.

The Lovers card in the Tarot:
The Gemini card representing masculine and feminine in harmony and balance!  Self love!
The Lovers card is a representation of self-love, of balance and harmony within the self as well as expressed in relationship to others.

Love and acceptance of self:
Positive connections flow on from our own self love!
Love and accept yourself and you are in a good energy for loving and accepting others and become receptive to a positive, balanced intimate relationship with a significant other. We all know this, but practising faith and acceptance in ourselves is more difficult than it seems as we experience the collective energies of guilt, shame, blame, self-punishment, criticism and judgmental attitudes.  If we’re feeling negative emotions towards others, there’s ongoing work to do.

From mid May to end of May:
Jupiter, Chiron and Saturn working together...healing water trines!
The past week has brought powerful healing forces have been at work on our emotional bodies, providing karmic release of patterns and collective energies.  Past lives, lost souls, trapped earth energies being released by a planetary configuration that is giving clearance to us all, providing we take advantage of the opportunity to let go in whatever way works for you.

Emotional:
Cry if you need!  Do a physical workout!  Scream!  Whatever works...better out than in!
A collective sigh of relief!
Is it pain?  Is it joy?  No need to examine it.  It’s emotion that needs release.  We are not just releasing these locked in energies for ourselves.  This is a collective release of grief, pain, fear as those locked in energies are brought to the light of freedom.

Mid June:
Chiron and Saturn in close trine...positive release of emotional karmic and collective wounds!
Chiron and Saturn will come up close and personal in mid June.  This will be a big opportunity for release of long held collective energies which we’re all carrying.  By then, Jupiter has moved on from these two planets, but will still be in close proximity, expanding the emotional impact and carrying the message of the collective nature of this whole process.
