Hi everyone!
What’s been happening: Phew! What hasn’t!
How was your trip to the moon, to the stars? Around the full moon, I felt
amazingly peaceful and uplifted into the power of universal love. It was in the
day or two afterwards that I started to feel emotionally wobbly and nervy for no
apparent reason.
The last few weeks have been so turbulent energetically, stirring up war
and conflict on the earth and bringing up feelings within us that seem outside
our normal experiences. Deeply embedded memories of war, conflict and
oppression have been surfacing, bringing up feelings of anger, resentment, grief
and despair. It’s been more difficult to hold ourselves in the light of hope and
optimism as so much of the world is collapsing into conflict, death, starvation,
poverty and homelessness.
Meanwhile, in the Western world, many governments are continuing to up the
ante with increasing austerity measures on the economies and on the people who
are most needy and impoverished.
Full moon in Aquarius: An omen, a promise of change for the
better!
This photo of the 11th August Full Moon over Australia’s national capital,
Canberra, seemed to capture the essence of the Virgo energy beginning to flow in
as Mercury leads the Sun, New Moon and Venus moving into this powerful divine
feminine healing energy. They’ll be following in the coming weeks.

I felt it was worth reposting the Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon this past
week. It seems particularly apt in light of what’s happening in Iraq this
week.
The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon in Aquarius on 11th August
was:
19 degrees Aquarius ‘Amidst smoke and drizzle, jubilant fire
fighters dig the final trench around a mountaintop blaze’
Cathy Pagano’s interpretation is as follows, but I’m sure you can recognise
the resonance with what’s happening in our world at the moment.
The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 19* Aquarius
is: Amidst smoke and drizzle, jubilant fire fighters dig the final
trench around a mountaintop blaze.
This symbolizes our ability to work together to control
the destructive passions of our human nature and channel them into works of
peace and safety. But this isn’t about control over nature as much
as it’s about stopping the destruction in nature. It’s time humans
evolve out of our need for war and violence and work together to contain the
natural disasters that face us and build for the future.
Steven
Eardley says that this symbol means, “doing the groundwork to actualize a
powerful vision of the future; alchemy; working with the powerful collective
energies of the outer planets—Uranus, Neptune& Pluto.” (The Revised Sabian
Symbols). We can do more together than we can do by
ourselves. Find your group!

‘The UN says
up to 30,000 Yazidis are still stuck on a mountaintop in north Iraq with little
food or water, facing "potential genocide" after Islamic State (IS) jihadists
overran the region.
Kurdish and Iraqi forces are
continuing their efforts to get the Yazidis off Mount Sinjar, while US and other
Western aircraft have dropped supplies.’
How many
people are feeling trapped on their mountaintop besieged by the forces in the
world, whether military, governmental, social or personal.
Reaching critical
mass:
Emotional forces reach breaking point!
The inundation of the
energies of anger, grief, oppression and conflict from around the world have
been building to a critical mass, an explosive energy, which many have
expressing and/or acting out, releasing their disappointment, rage and feelings
of powerlessness.
Let’s not forget that our world is populated by people in
various stages of consciousness and the way we express our feelings has much to
do with our personal consciousness, political consciousness and our attachment
or not to dogmas and belief systems such as religion or political affiliation.
And of course, our current living situation and how political forces are
impacting on us.
For so many of us in the
western world, we have heard, seen and taken in the terrifying news from the war
zones whilst dealing with the austerity measures of our own governments. For
those of us who believe in the evolutionary forces of consciousness, we have
been ‘holding’ the energy for ourselves and others.
A trigger point for release of emotion: The
dam burst!
Robin Williams
death: His final gift to us all, unleashing a wave of emotion around
the world!
The Full Moon in Aquarius
came in with a wave of love, followed quickly by the news of the death, the
suicide of an iconic figure in the entertainment industry. Robin Williams left
the planet. His soul called him ‘home’ and for many of us at this time, we
understood the ‘pull’ of the great void, the urge to ‘go home’.
I see death as a time to go,
regardless of age or circumstances. We just feel ‘enough is enough’ and say
goodbye.
Goodbye, safe journey and thank you
Yes, Venus moved into Leo on 12th August! Heart opening
stuff!
Venus, planet of love, moved
into Leo on 12th August. Venus brings heart opening passion in the sign of Leo.
The full impact of this energy is yet to fill many of us who are mopping up
after the shock of the death of Robin Williams.
Spirits were somewhat
dampened by the Pisces moon along with the reaching of a critical mass of grief,
anger, fear and insecurity. The huge release of emotions triggered by the death
of Robin Williams seemed out of proportion to the loss of one man against the
ongoing deaths happening on the planet. His death was a heart opener for the
collective release of emotional energy (Pisces moon) which has been building for
weeks.
The watery emotional energies
are still around with Mars pushing us through Scorpio, challenging us to
transform and/or die. I mean that in the best possible way, although Scorpio
energy can make us feel we're dying a thousand deaths. Saturn still in Scorpio
until the end of this year, is adding to this huge karmic
release.
What’s coming in:
16th August: Mercury moves into
Virgo at 2.43 am AEST...Clearing and healing the mind!
until 2nd September
A ray of sunshine, a
ray of light!
The earth speaks and heals! Listen and learn!

Mercury has come home to Virgo: Clarification and
purification!
Mercury is a ruler of Virgo as well as of Gemini, very much at home in
Virgo, the sign of the master healer. It’s now time to clarify our ideas,
thoughts and bring them into earthly reality through this master communicator.
Our Mercury mind taps into the Virgo earth energy: Practical
solutions!
Mercury is the messenger and rules communication, travel and commerce.
In Virgo, an earth sign, we can expect affairs related to any of the above
to be brought to life in the earthly dimension. Commerce will get a boost with
this one as Virgo rules everyday work.
Grounding ideas by producing practical solutions for everyday
problems!
Virgo, being an earth energy, is good at helping us to live on the earth
and have our everyday needs provided at the physical level. This is a great
energy for getting in touch with issues/problems around your working life, your
‘calling’ to service/mission as well as earning money.
Communicating for understanding and
clarity:
Virgo is an energy that seeks to organise incoming information, to sort,
sift and categorise in order to come to some understanding of the world and our
own personal world.
Mercury in Virgo is a talking and thinking energy. Not just talking for
the sake of talking. This is about talking and thinking energy which seeks to
understand and make sense of our world. Mercury is our mind and our mental
faculties. In Virgo, our mind becomes alert with an enhanced capacity to sort
and sift information.
Healing and purification of the mind:
Clarification of minds
bringing understanding of our place here!
Often the Virgo energy can take us into perfectionism which taps into
society’s benchmarks and comparisons, bringing up feelings of ‘less than’, of
worthlessness. This is one of Virgo’s challenges, self acceptance and
love.
Perfecting our ‘art’ needs to be equated to mastery of our physical world,
Virgo’s domain and needs to be recognised as a purging, purification process
which clears all energies not aligned with our true selves, our authentic
selves. Our mind needs a purge of damaging and extraneous information, thoughts
and beliefs.
The clearing/purification process:
Not just the mind!
‘Everything must go’ is the catchcry!
We’re likely to feel like a spring cleaning in more ways than one with
Mercury, planet of action and speed firing us up to taking action in our
everyday lives, work and home. Just be aware of overdoing the Mrs. Mops energy
and wearing yourself out. Time out!
It’s all about getting our physical lives
into order along with a mind that’s sorted and at rest. Where’s that filing cabinet!
Warning:
Mercury in Virgo can have us overthinking and into a state of worry!
Mr Worry is here to remind you to keep clearing the mind of any anxious or
worrying thoughts as there may be a tendency to overanalyse and overthink any
potential solutions into a major problem. It’s all in the mind.
Take time out from the thinking and just chill out completely whether
meditation, exercise, contemplation. Relaxation is key to negotiating this
energy for a positive outcome. Just know when to give the thinking a rest
otherwise you’ll be like a dog with a bone never getting resolution.
18th August:
Venus conjoins Jupiter
in Leo at 7 degrees
...a golden wave of love to uplift us!
From 17th to
19th!
Last week:
Emptying emotionally of the heaviness and darkness of
the earth.
This past week we emptied out emotionally so much grief, pain, suffering
and loss thanks to Robin William’s final gift to us, the unplugging of so much
held in emotion.
Pure gold: Venus, planet of love meets Jupiter, bringer of good
fortune!
This aspect is a biggie, the meeting of Venus and Jupiter in Leo.
Venus is LOVE and Jupiter expands whatever planet he meets.
Both these planets are connected to the energy of abundance and wealth.
Good luck is there if our hearts are open to
love and to our own belief in an abundant universe.
If you invest in a wager now and then, may be worth a small investment. Of
course, it all depends on your energy, your sense of entitlement, your life path
and your planetary alignments and right timing. No need to go overboard!
Remember to open your heart and send out your
wishes!
17th to 19th:
A doorway of opportunity to expand and embrace the power of love
and a major heart healing, the greatest gift of this energy!
Be open, be receptive and believe that a doorway is opening and taking you
into a magnificent energy of optimism and hope as your heart expands with the
power of love. This is big healing energy offering to dry up all the tears of
remorse, disappointment, grief, fear.
As we open the doorway to love, joy and abundance, let the mind take a
backseat to the heart and allow these positive energies to uplift, to wash
through and around you.
Keep calling in all your hopes and dreams.
Your heart knows what
these are and can bring them to you!
An explosion of love! Tsunami of love? Very possibly!
For those who follow Lauren Gorgo and her messages. In her June message,
reference was made to a tsunami of love washing over the planet. When I looked
for possible astrological happenings, this was the one I felt held the promise
of this incredible heart opening. Predictions cannot always be exact, but let’s
hope that we’ll feel the upliftment of hearts and spirits that we’re needing.
I know I’m not alone in wondering if we’re making progress on the planet at
this time as we watch the deterioration of so many into the darkness of tribal
warfare. The need to maintain our energies are being supported by the planets,
the cosmos and all life.
We just need to keep our eyes on doing all we can at each moment of our day
to maintain the love and hope in our hearts, minds and lives.
