I set up this blog in 2011 arising from what I perceived was a need to reach a wider audience. When I went into a healing crisis in 2008, I became increasingly confined to home. I was sending out astrology emails to friends and family in an ad hoc fashion. This was keeping me in touch with the world, contributing something to others and giving me a reason for being alive. People started contacting me to go onto the email list so I felt the need to 'step up to the plate' thus putting more form and structure into the mail out. This list has continued to grow as people seem to send it on to others who needed to know what was happening.
About Me
I have an intense and committed passion for the esoteric and the spiritual as it relates to everyday life - observation of trends, socially, politically, historically and spiritually.
My interest in Astrology was reactivated in the 1990's with a mid-life crisis which I recognised as a spiritual wake-up call. Astrology has continued to provide guidance and understanding of who I am and why I am here on the earth. Most of all it has guided me on working with the energies of our solar system and the cosmos.
At the age of 33 I contracted the chronic illness, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Somehow I continued working as a teacher with great support from an amazing doctor who came from the holistic perspective. In the mid 90's I left my permanent teaching career utilising leave entitlements and working casually in a variety of roles within the education system until my final leap of faith in 2000.
I was fired with the creative zeal to contribute to changing the education system in whatever way I could. That was still to emerge...if ever. Meanwhile I seriously took up Tarot/Psychic readings...astrology, palmistry as a career option. I had a lifetime of working with Cards/Tarot/Palmistry since my teens. I had dropped the astrology but now picked it up again. I was looking for answers myself.
Creative projects were numerous..writing, music as well as 7 years put into a two hour weekly community radio program 'The Bright Side of the Road', my theme song. For some years, I had a group of friends meet monthly for meditation, spiritual/energetic healing which was a learning experience for us all with shared meals and great laughter as we reached for wholeness in our lives.
However, in 2008 I withdrew from all activities to search for the spiritual source of the Rheumatoid Arthritis and ultimately to fully heal. This took me into a healing crisis(everything gets worse before it gets better), which increasingly confined me to home, rest and meditation clearing the backlog of energies from lifetimes and completing karmic commitments. It has been the greatest and most challenging learning experience of my life. Life is an experiment!
