Whew...still walking along the shore line.
‘Walking on eggshells’
?
After so many weeks working with the Sun in
Cancer, Mercury in Cancer for an extended stay and two lunar months in Cancer,
the beach may feel more like we’re walking on pebbles and shells than soft sand.
‘Walking on eggshells’ may capture the essence of how it’s been for more than a
few of us. Whatever...it’s a long walk home this year.

More beach to go, maybe a little softer on the
feet, one step at a time as we prepare to welcome our second New Moon in Cancer
for this year. It marks the exit from the eclipse zone, the vortex of turbulent
energy which has been tossing us about since the last new moon on 21st
June.
We keep bouncing back...out of
despair
We cannot afford to lose the plot, drop our
bundle, even if we lose heart and hope, periodically dipping into despair. It’s
in our capacity to feel the despair and bounce back, to re-surface and continue
that we maintain the vibration of higher consciousness. That’s our calling this
lifetime and especially at this time.
From 19th to 21st
July: The dark of the moon release time
The time to let go the baggage and residue of
this past lunar month. It’s been big, explosive in some instances as huge
dollops of karmic baggage surfaced from within. This is a big ancestral release and these two days we just
drop it!

New Wisdom
A cosmic messenger flashed across our
skies this week...a new comet named ‘Neowise’. Its name means ‘new
wisdom/understanding’, offering us a message from the outer reaches of
consciousness.
Comets have been regarded as
messengers from ancient times. Back in those times they were more often
considered harbingers of disaster. Since those times, with the benefit of
hindsight, this has not proven to be the case.
These days, whenever something
new appears in the night sky, in the cosmos, it is regarded by astrologers as
new consciousness coming into our world. our vision. The name given to the new
‘body’ by astronomers is of significance in astrological understanding.
This new comet is a messenger
of something new coming in and its name can only make us feel hope and promise
of new wisdom and understanding in our world.

Are we hearing the
messages of the moon attuning to our inner guidance?
A New Moon, a fresh start, new lunar month with
the Sun and Moon on the same page, setting the agenda for our ‘undercover’/lunar
work for the next month.
The focus continues on the
nurturing, nourishing reassuring mother energy which comforts, supports and
helps us build our inner emotional security. The ancestors are working with us
in divine partnership. We are still very much working with the past, changing
old damaging stories into new positive ones.
Exit from
eclipse turbulence! Here we come birthing a new reality
This year has been a bumpy ride and for many this
past month has been extra bumpy. That’s the nature of eclipses. But this New
Moon leads us out of the remaining issues and insecurities that have been
plaguing us over the past two years. No, it’s not the absolute end as the
eclipse energies are still active.

We can find that the eclipse
will kick in a month afterwards, which is this new moon. However the eclipse
changes play out up to 6 months afterwards. So, maintaining equilibrium is still
the challenge, the key to negotiating the emotional landscape.

This New Moon gives a clear
guidance for our brief this month...strengthening our nurturing power as we
continue to face off to the Capricorn power pack of three, Saturn, Pluto and
Jupiter. All opposing energies such as this always call for balance, meeting the
demands of both energies, the Cancerian need for emotional security and the
Capricorn need for physical/financial security.
We are continuing to balance
the demands of the status quo against our need for emotional security, comfort
of home. It’s societal demands weighing off against home, family, place of
belonging.

The new solar month celebrates the Sun as ruler
of Leo. It rises over the ocean, shining on the rocky shoreline where we are
treading warily in the new moon Cancer energies.
Turn up the pilot lights
Our pilot lights might have
been wavering a little this year, our spirits depleted with the removal of
familiar stimulating creative energies. The lockdown has been much more than
physical, restricting our usual avenues for fun and dampening our creative
spirit.
The divine light is
pouring into us...opening up all our cells to joy!
Leo is a big extroverted
energy that beckons us to bring forth the light of our being and shine it into
the world. That inner light grows and expands when we engage with our own divine
gifts and talents, our creativity which brings us joy.
We’ve been forced
along new creative pathways
These past months, many have
been forced to discover new avenues for creative expression, joy and
experiencing fun. It hasn’t exactly been a fun time on the planet. Indirectly
we’re being forced to find alternative means for experiencing the joy of life.
Get ready for a boost
of light invigorating our tired spirits
Now, the Leo light shines a
spotlight on us all, re-invigorating our inner flame, boosting our pilot light,
lightening a little the karmic work of this year.
Leo rules love,
romance, creativity, children as well as our own shining divine light! Time to
loosen up and get into the dance of life, to play
It may not feel an easy time to get in
touch with the lightness of life but that’s the call.
To start...activating our own
creative juices will set the ball in motion. As we get in touch with our
creative spirit, possibly through expression of our ‘past’. our memories in
creative form. With the Cancer moon still underpinning our next lunar month,
we’re still dabbling in times past, activating memories and experiences. This
is not necessarily a bad trip. Enjoy old connections in new ways.

the Lion’s Gate
The Sacred Year begins on the 26th of July, with the planetary
New Year, and is preceded by the celebratory "Day out of Time" on the 25th of
July. On the 25th your ancient ancestors knew to celebrate the passing over
from the old cycle to the new, with creative joy and festival.
On the 26th the new cycle was initiated.

We’re
ready and waiting for the birthing of a New Year with the opening of the Lion’s
Gate on 26th July. First, we welcome the New Moon in Cancer, the Sun in Leo.
The shadows of past times will continue to rise and release but from now it’s a
downhill run with maybe a few sideways steps.
We’ll
be tying up loose threads until the end of this year. But for now, we’re
needing to look to igniting our pilot lights with the power of love, our
creative spirits awakened to the joys of life, whatever our circumstances.
Love
and blessings to us all as we negotiate this year. Some of us are releasing
some heavy burdens whilst others seem to be skimming across troubled waters.
Whatever is happening to us, is happening for good reason as we keep unravelling
our lives
resolving
old issues and coming to peace with the past.
