from the chair: 12th July 2020: Chiron retrograde, Mercury turns direct

Hi everyone!

We’re still on the sandy beach in the light of the Cancerian sun. Really?

It might not seem so peaceful. We’re on the job spiritually.

Arriving at the crisis point, past the tipping point

We made it through the eclipse full moon in one piece, perhaps broken apart, maybe shattered as the esoteric world welcomed the beginning of the ending of the Cancer/Capricorn planetary focus of the past 2 years.

Moving on from the turning point

We are at the turning point for this year with the shattering of illusions, of hopes and dreams put on the back burner, of idealism and ideals long held, feeling the burn of a new global reality. We’re readying for new directions...be open.

The fallout continues...through to December

The chaos continues through to December but with the promise of a gradual turning tide of events that offer the possibility of new perceptions, of viewing our world through a different lens.

We’re going to be able to start making sense of all our observations/experiences of these past months as we start pulling out of the chaos and despite ongoing dramatic changes continuing to erupt.

From 9th to 15th JULY: Mercury super tricky

Turns direct on 12th July at 5 degrees Cancer
Why super tricky?Mercury comes into that super tricky time when he 'stations', virtually at a standstill on the same degree for an extended period, slowing right down. Everything is intensified.

Time, communication, travel plans become even more scrambled, confused, erratic as we are held seemingly in limbo. Delays, traffic jams are common.

We cannot prepare for these times although taking the usual risk management steps, double checking appointments, travel routes. times, timetables, communication devices. Missed calls. Appointment times and places.

We can often find banking, commercial transactions can get outages, delays with technology causing problems. Mercury rules commerce.

Personal communications, getting clarity with what you hear, what you think you heard, what you say. Miscommunication. We can't really avoid these glitches but if it happens we can be more philosophical. It helps.

From 7th to 10th July: Caught in the vice like grip of memory release from the body

With Mercury squaring Mars during this time we may be pushed to release some old pain from the nervous system, the head...a spiritual source of pain in the body may hold us for a few days as we feel the pain of old memories and let them go.

Retrograde labyrinth...recovery and reclamation of ‘me, myself, I’

With Chiron in the sign of the individual, the ego for the long haul until 2027, the purification and evolution of human ego and the individual is very much a big part of the overhaul of humanity and the collective.

Reclaiming and evolving the ego...growth and spiritual expansion

This process doesn’t mean the dissolution of the ego. Rather, the releasing of core spiritual wounds which have blocked the full expression of our divine essence, our inner fire working through the ego. The ego gets things done but what is the source of its motivation.

Trigger happy time...the trigger is the key, our doorway to release

Aries can be a trigger happy sign, shoot first, ask questions later. We all know when we feel ‘triggered’ by words or actions, when we react with haste as pain is brought to the surface.

In acknowledging the pain, our reaction, we expose the wound and accept the healing, the resolution.

Our soul is urging us on to elevate our ‘me’ to our divine ‘I am’

If we want to get things ‘right’, ‘fixed’ then we need to go through the retrograde purification process. Maybe we don’t at the ego level but our soul does. Our soul is constantly urging us on to complete soul work and to do it right. We’re clearing the way for new directions for our place in the world as spiritual masters in our very human form.

Chiron is about physical health and the body as well as signifying the spiritual ‘wound’ we have brought into heal this lifetime.

Only a couple of days but this could trigger some old ‘war wounds’. It could be an ‘ouch’ moment. But it is a rebirth of our warrior energy, a srengthening of our spiritual source and power.

Whew! What a retrograde journey...confusion central

Mercury moves out of the soul searching navel gazing labyrinth, still travelling through memory land in the sign of Cancer but at least all those memory threads are starting to sort out as past aspects are released into divine freedom.

We are walking ‘the ancestors’ and each other home

We’re still in the release process...coming back to the clarity of here and now. As we hold a safe space for ourselves, reassuring ourselves that all is well even as we continue to walk out of the epicentre of confusion, we are speaking with our ‘lost’ aspects, rescuing them from the land of fear and insecurity.

12th to 26th July: Covering old territory with new eyes

We’re still covering old ground until 26th July when Mercury moves out of shadow retrograde energy. This is the time when bits and pieces, insights, begin to reveal more of what we’ve actually been doing in the labyrinth. Increasing clarity of mind leads us into new territory when the pieces come together in a whole new picture.

26th July to 5th August: Into new territory, the new picture

Out of shadow retrograde energy at 14 degrees Cancer, the degree of the fixed star Sirius. That tells us so much about the significance and focus for the next stage of the Mercury journey...mastery, assimilation and integration of new knowledge. Walking the talk.

5th August: Mercury moves to Leo

All the inner clearance of ancestral. familial karmic imprints, the Cancer retrograde journey, is leading us to a new burgeoning of our creativity, divine child when Mercury enters Leo on 5th August.

Here we are finding comfort with the divine mother energies of Cancer seeking our own comfort zone wherever that may be. The safe spot may feel hard to find for many of our number across the world and it may feel like we’re hanging by a thread but our thread is strong, the substance of spirit which defies worldly fears.

That thread is actually many threads interwoven even though it may feel like one. We are holding despite feeling like a raggedy bunch at the mercy of world events and changes.

Love and blessings to us all as we start feeling the restoration of clarity, continue to heal the deep spiritual wounds of identity, core pain and suffering from past times, lives and realities. Our physical bodies continuing the release process.
