A new Galactic Year:
Welcome to the new galactic year with the
opening of the Lion’s Stargate on 26th July, deriving from the Mayan Calendar
marked by the rising of the star Sirius. This calendar is aligned with the
natural rhythms of the earth. The ‘Stargate’ comes to intensity and completion
on 8th August and happens this year on the New Moon in Leo.

Stargates are considered
portals which bring change, transformation and opportunities for spiritual
growth and expansion. Whether or not we believe in these portals doesn’t make
any difference as when we are on a spiritual growth pathway we are focussed on
capitalising on all opportunities which assist and uplift our energies.
Maximise the light
power this month: Bring it in to the self, the earth and humanity!
In the light of Leo energies
the power of the Sun and light power is huge! It’s a time when we can access
‘the path of heart’, the Leo path, more readily if we are willing to open
ourselves to more light, more divine love and allow it to flush out all that has
damaged our mind, body, spirits and of course heart.

healing: Enhancing and expanding heart power as we accept spiritual courage to
hold the balance!
Personal and transpersonal love: The Leo/Aquarius team!
Leo is focussed on personal love whereas the
opposite sign of Aquarius has a focus on transpersonal love. They work together
offering balance and harmony to the individual and to the society when we can
walk the middle path between our personal desires and needs and the desires and
needs of society and the collective.

Aquarian freeway: How free?
With the last Full Moon in Aquarius, we were
thrust into a 4 week time period of Aquarian challenges, challenges which have
been with us earthlings forever, the balancing of the rights and freedoms of the
individual with the maintenance of society, the collective. Every individual is
important to maintaining the group and the group is important for maintaining
the individual.
The Aquarian ideal:
Serving humanity...the greatest good for the greatest number
With the protests which
erupted at the Full Moon in Aquarius last weekend, many of our number were
caught up in this paradox either protesting on the streets or supporting the
protesters. It’s been fascinating as well as dispiriting to observe this
playing out of these energies.
What is the motivation
driving us and others?
People struggling to find
their unique voice against the rules and laws of society is not new to us at
all. I always ask ‘what is the motivation?’. I just keep asking this whether
of myself or others to get to the truth of words, thoughts or deeds. Protesters
are a mixed bag with different motivations but protesting on a Full Moon is not
necessarily a good time for getting a message across as it’s a time of emotional
release rather than mental clarity.
Aquarius question:
Are my thoughts, words and deeds motivated by my desire to serve the greater
good...and do they?
I was reminded of the words of JFK at his
inauguration speech as President of USA in 1961 ‘Ask not what your country can
do for you but what you can do for your country’. Putting aside the reference
to national patriotic citizenship I felt the relevance to our perceptions as
citizens of the world. Yes, there are responsibilities which extend both ways
from the individual to society and vice versa. It’s all about finding the
balance.
Aquarius is the sign
of idealism and seeking collective freedom:
Freedom from what?
Spiritual freedom is rising
above the craziness in the world, of moving beyond the barriers of thought and
emotion, beyond the barriers holding us in the memories of time past. Spiritual
freedom is an unseen energy that is the first step towards full liberation. It
doesn’t mean you have to be on the streets fighting against the military forces
of a fascist dictatorship. That may be happening in the world but the spiritual
warrior is called to work with energy in themselves and the earth and its
people.
All for one, one for all!
Those of us who are more liberated politically are privileged to be able to
rest, meditate and to actually have the food and shelter needed for our
wellbeing. We need to use our privilege with wisdom, gratitude and love. We
will do it because we have been given so much so we can go on to the next steps
in ascension and raising consciousness for all.
The past week, few days: Exhausted? tired? need for more
sleep?
If you're feeling drained of energy trust that once Mercury moves out of
Cancer tomorrow and Jupiter leaves Pisces for Aquarius we might start feeling a
little lighter. These are heavy duty energies. Also, we’re feeling big healing
energies when we need to rest more. There are advantages to ‘lockdown’.

Messenger of the Sun!

Open Sesame! Open minds and dispel the
clouds of the past!Mercury, our messenger, ruler of our mental
body emerges from the waters of the energy of Cancer, the waters of the past and
memories and reaches for the light of the Sun into Leo the sign of spiritual
leadership. It’s time to open our minds and call in the guidance of higher
consciousness, the higher path of divine guidance, beyond our limited
perceptions on planet earth.
As we open to the light, we open our whole beings to new visions,
new ways and new worlds!
After the past weeks of walking the shoreline hand in hand with the past,
releasing what needs to go, claiming what needs to stay, we’ve been coming home
to ourselves and to our essence this lifetime.
We’ve been re-experiencing and
releasing old timelines and karmic threads, the big emotional energies held in
our mental bodies, nervous systems, our minds. Can we imagine a world where so
many people are reaching for the pathway beyond our vision, our limited view
that the whole mental body of the earth shifts into a new dimension?
We may drop our bundle sometimes but we go on to the
light!
There’s many of us who are on this pathway and
have been for many years and are maintaining the focus and discipline holding to
the belief that we can play our part in creating a world built on love, equity,
truth and divine justice. We may at times lose faith, lose ourselves, forget,
lose the plot and fall into despair and depression as our patience and
commitment is tested. But, somehow we go on.
The challenges of Leo energy are related to power and
courage:
Carolyn Myss says ‘Everything on earth is about power’. But what does this mean for us? When we access power within and utilise it in the name of divine love we can trust that at least our intention is good.
The challenge of the Leo energies is to use power wisely and to trust that we can handle power with love. It is not about overpowering or overlording others but about emanating light within and without.
The power of the word:
A time to practise loving words and
thoughts for ourselves and others!
During these next few weeks we can access the
divine light energy of the Leo heart as we practise thinking and speaking in
loving ways to ourselves and others. We’re travelling through the Leo stargate,
the portal of potential for spiritual transformation. Mercury, our messenger is
opening our minds to lighter ways of being and living if we can accept this
gift.
How do we use words to empower ourselves, empower
others?
Our mental energies are being offered transformation as we remain attuned
to our spiritual power and utilise such powers for the good of ourselves, for
the good of all.
Are we helping or hurting?
Judgement and criticism is very much a part of our whole
existence as we have developed our mental energies of analysis, discrimination
and assessment. How we translate this knowledge into our words, our lives and
into the lives of others is reflective of our spiritual evolution and essence.
Are we helping or hurting? Yes, sometimes we have to hurt to heal.

Whew! Out of the Pisces
whirlpool...or has it felt more like a cesspool? What a trip we’ve been having with Jupiter
travelling through Pisces, the sign of the collective unconscious, the sign of
our personal subconscious. Not surprising that collective emotions have been
bubbling away, building up for a release at the last Full Moon.
From one labyrinth to another: From past to future!
Pisces is all emotion and hyper sensitive energies attuned to cosmic
rhythms once it rises out of the collective whirlpool of emotion. We’ve been in
this huge expansive energy for the past 2 months giving us a taste of what’s to
come in 2022 when Jupiter is in Pisces for the whole year.
Reaching in, reaching out: We’re all needing a cosmic
hug!
Big expansive, optimistic Jupiter returns to
Aquarius still travelling retrograde until 18th October so covering some old
ground as we walk the galactic labyrinth of Aquarius.
Feelings of connectedness
with the big picture, with humanity are likely to surface and allow us some
understanding and compassion for all at this time of global ascension.
Connecting with humanity from within: Time to call ‘home’, come
home?
Retrograde energy calls for the inner discovery
tour of our psyche. From this inner journey, we’re likely to get some
inspiration and new directions coming to light providing we go with the call for
stillness and an open mind. The big picture opens to us as we reach for the star
within.
Expansion and growth in consciousness:
Accessing mastery of our cosmic communication...beyond the
physical!
However, Aquarius is the ruler of friends and
community, of hopes and dreams, ideals and of humanity in all its breadth and
depth.
The urge to connect with others is strong even as so much of the world
is being limited by physical connection. The Aquarius doorway is connecting
energetically over all distances and dimensions. Time to expand our magical skills!
Evolution of communication: The ultimate
communication!
This is a great opportunity to develop and hone our skills of communication
beyond the physical. This is an activating period for our ‘magical’ skills
beyond the physical world. It’s all about ascension in consciousness and
expanding our medicine bag of abilities beyond the little mind.
Aquarius loves the new and inventive and this is a perfect time to
experiment with our personal powers and some trusted kindred spirits. You never
know what will happen! That’s Aquarius...sudden unexpected breakthroughs and
change.

Healing the body, the warrior within!

What a gift! Time for release from
the battlefield carried within and without!
Mars,
our tired warrior, enters the sign of healing, healing the mind, body and the
words. Virgo is regarded as the sign of the healer, the ‘medicine’ offered to
our weary spirits when all else fails.
Our
body speaks to us and tells us what we need: Readiness to hear the truth is
needed!
Hearing
our body requires the development of our spiritual identity and clarity to know
what we need and when. The fact is the people of earth are at differing stages
consciousness and we need to remember that not everyone is at a stage of
readiness for healing whether short term, long term, spiritual or physical. It’s
a personal journey that can’t be forced, be imposed upon by others as a right
course of action. Our body tells us and depends on our readiness to act on its
truth.
Mars
is joining Venus and they will be both be travelling through
Virgo.
Venus is leading the way guiding us to the much
needed heart healing for ourselves and the planet. They will both be working
with Virgo healing the masculine and feminine energies of the heart within our
minds and bodies. There’s likely to be a need for more talking, speaking out
the old hurts and pains held in the bodies. But the doorway to healing is open
and ready.
The
physical body:
Extra attention is required for our physical bodies at this
time.
Virgo rules the respiratory and nervous systems
and Mars rules the head so the importance of bringing forth emotions in a safe
and comforting manner becomes important.
Time for
emotional release from the physical body: Rest...rest!
Lungs hold grief
and there’s a lot of that erupting on the planet now. Mars can be a hothead so
anything to do with the head, unresolved anger or pain in the head needs gentle
release, the way of the Virgo medicine woman.

We’re
on our way through the Lion’s stargate and at the same time travelling the
galactic freeway of Aquarius, negotiating personal needs and desires with
societal demands and expectations. This is a real exercise in balance and
equity, responsibility to ourselves and to the greater good. We’re going for a
win/win!
Next big astrological turning point is the New
Moon in Leo combined with the culminating force and intensity of the last day of
the Lion’s stargate when it comes to a close on 8th August. That New Moon
promises a deliverance into new energies of light as we complete the final
stages of the Aquarian paradox leading to the Full Moon on 22nd August.
We’re
in a huge spiritual change process which offers the promise of uplift from the
world affairs and new solutions emerging as Jupiter brings expansion and growth
into the field of innovation with creative inspiration and problem solving.
These next few weeks we’ll be challenged to travel two
roads, the personal and the transpersonal checking in with our hearts as a
barometer of our progress.
