Well it’s been quite a time since that Aries New Moon on 19th
April!
How
many of you have been knocked over, flattened or knocked sideways by the recent
extreme weather and sudden earth changes?
At
these times we huddle together with ourselves and loved ones.
Extreme weather and earth changes:
With the concentration of planetary energies in Aries and Taurus we’ve
been having quite a few extreme weather events around the world along with some
major earth changes. I refer in particular to the volcanic eruption in Chile
and the earthquake in Nepal.
This past week or two we have had an escalation of
earth changes and extreme weather events around the globe, so if you’ve been
feeling the earth move beneath you and within you, then be assured you’re moving
with those earth energies.
We
don’t all feel these changes in the same way at the same time or across the
board for everyone. Our response depends on a variety of factors, planetary
energies, natal chart and I also tend to believe we experience events in other
parts of the world according to our own ‘earth history’, ancestral/past life
memories.
Flattened by the earth changes, weather
events?
I don't know
about many others but I do know a black cloud of exhaustion came over along with
this earthquake in Nepal. Absolutely laid out and barely able to keep my eyes
open. This had come on the heels of some dramatic storms and flooding on the
east coast of Australia. I know this has happened across the world at different
times but when it is close to us, of course we’re more likely to be impacted.
As I live west of Sydney on the Blue Mountains, I was not as affected as
others. However I know we’ve all had a share of these extreme weather events in
our local areas, cities and nations. Whether the extreme snow in USA, Europe
and the UK or the floods, winds and rains across continents which do not usually
experience such extremes.
This
week in Nepal, the earth moved!
From
Sydney Morning Herald this week:
"A massive
block of Earth's crust, roughly 75 miles long (120km) and 37 miles (60km) wide,
lurched 10 feet (3m) to the south Saturday over the course of 30 seconds. Riding
atop this block of the planet was the capital of Nepal – Kathmandu – and
millions of Nepalese."
That's the
description of Saturday's earthquake from University of Colorado geologist Roger
Bilham, a world-renowned expert on Himalayan earthquakes. The 7.8-magnitude
earthquake that flattened historic buildings in Kathmandu and has taken more
than a thousand lives is the latest release of built-up strain from the

Thoughts, prayers and light to all affected by the
quake, volcanoes, extreme weather events, war, poverty, physical, emotional,
mental and spiritual challenge.
We are all earth dwellers:
When Mother Earth rolls over, we all roll over!
Taurus is an earth sign ruled by
Venus and encapsulates the heart of Mother Earth, her core being. At the
moment, we’re all working with and within Mother Earth, whether we know it or
not, believe it or not. We are inextricably woven into the tapestry of her
body.

Mercury is the ruler of Gemini so he’s come
home for an extended stay with a retrograde journey of 3 weeks in the middle of
this stretch.
Mental as anything:
The mind is flying to the
heights!
Let’s trust there’s not too much hot air and cluttered dialogue. The
plus of this energy is a clearing of the mind and a million and one ideas and
possibilities.
Open your mind and let the ideas fly:
The
challenge with this energy is floating ideas and finding difficulty grounding
them in physical reality. Nevertheless, this is the energy here and now,
letting us have our head! Go with it!
Open to receive the undiscovered gems: Ideas, solutions, new
vistas!
Amongst the multitude of ideas and
possibilities, the grab bag of magical choices, we’re likely to find some
undiscovered gems which have been hidden away.

How much can

There is no stone unturned with
Gemini curiosity. Gemini is the sign of curiosity and with Mercury here, we’re
excited by new prospects and new solutions to old problems. Let the winds of

Mercury likes speed and movement and in Gemini,
is the ultimate networker, business negotiator and communicator. Just remember
to take it slowly for the sake of any who are having trouble keeping up with
you. Gemini energy urges us to learn about ourselves and our world by connecting
and communicating with others. It’s like an information gathering exercise,
data collection, research which will help us find ourselves and our place in the
world. Make the most of this time to gather, connect and float the ideas.

together!
This is likely to bring spontaneity and a
celebratory feel as we bounce ideas off trusted people in our world. Trusted?
That means those who are your personal cheer squad, your supporters, those who
are on the same wavelength and spiritually aligned with you.

Be a butterfly: Twosomes are good!
Friends,
partners, family! Dualities are reconciled if we allow!
Gemini is symbolised by the butterfly flitting from flower to flower
gathering the pollen, delivering the pollen, fertilising the plants of the
earth. Follow the butterfly process this next month or two. That doesn’t mean
we won’t get anything done. It’s more likely to bring back some joy, excitement
and stimulation into our lives. Just go with it.
Business and commercial enterprises benefit:
If establishing, starting new ventures or
projects, best to get moving on them before Mercury retrogrades on 19th May.
Ironically, 19th May is a New Moon in Taurus which is great for establishing
enterprises in physical reality. Put in the groundwork in now and ironing out
the creases will work well during the Mercury retrograde period.

Just a heads up that we’re heading towards a Mercury retrograde period
of 3 weeks starting 19th May. We’re coming into what’s called ‘shadow
retrograde’ energy in the next few days, so the slow down and pull back is
happening.

Mercury’s retrograde!
It
might feel like all systems are go and then delays come in and hold us back from
attaining goals or implementing plans. Patience and awareness is everything with
Mercury retrograde periods. Any apparent glitches must be viewed as necessary
halts in our progress as NEW INFORMATION IS COMING IN!
Mercury retrograde: Risk management!
Refining the
energies!
One
of the greatest benefits of Mercury retrograde periods is the backwards and
forwards with our thinking. Our implementation of plans works like a cross
checking of all the possibilities.
Access to the ‘higher self’: The inner journey
calls!
We just need to listen!
Retrograde Mercury often brings in new possibilities and better and
improved ways of proceeding. The inner journey gives us access to greater truth
and consciousness.

Mercury retrograde periods demand our attention to timing,
‘divine’ timing. That means maintaining awareness of what doors are opening,
what avenues are closing, what events are holding us back, delaying us. It’s
always for good reason when we are delayed from proceeding, usually because
something ‘better’ as in more suitable, aligned with us is just ahead. Patience
and awareness is everything!
