Hi everyone!

The light at the end of the tunnel!

We're in the final day of Mercury's retrograde journey. I don't know about anyone else but this one's been a challenging one with so many planetary energies holding us in the labyrinth of internal examination, change and release. So much draining out of old energies exhausting to say the least.

Thanks to Mercury’s journey, our mindsets have been shifting and bending in a whole range of new directions. It’s as we emerge from the retrograde passage that we may find the more eye opening evidence of this having occurred. The shifts in consciousness may start manifesting in our consciousness as we ‘see the light’ of new thinking, new ideas and clarity.

Retrograde energies: Calling us to let go and let ‘God’!

Retrograde energies are always challenging us to ‘let go’ of the control and allow the universe to take us in new directions.

This is probably most evident in Mercury retrograde periods when Mercury our mind manager is forced to take a back seat and surrender to the energetic forces of change.

Glitches are indicators of our progress in ‘letting go’:

No predicting or pre-empting works best!

It seems the more glitches we get in our lives is a message that we’re holding on too tightly to the reins of control. We’re taking on responsibilities which may be over burdening us. We’re trying to work it out from our ‘small’ mind. Any frustrating or irritating feelings are also indicators of our growth or not in surrendering the small will to the big picture.

4th May:

Our engines are underway travelling with steam power: Our fire power wants to go...now!

With Mercury in Aries we want to get up and running and this energy of fire is running through our veins. Passions are arising within us calling us to get moving as we’ve been holding back for some weeks.

Mercury still in motion for a while: Not in a hurry to accelerate!

Get steamed up but don’t blow your stack

Mercury has been sitting on 24 degrees for 5 days and remains on that degree for 3 more days after he turns direct. It will be about a week from 4th May before he gets up enough steam to take off.

The main thing is we don’t get steamed up and impatient with this slow motion. We’re getting our mental energy aligned and adjusted to the new direction.

Go easy on the action as new information is taking us through shifts and turns!

We need to stay focussed on our spiritual goal like our steam engine following the track but we need to be prepared to changes of mind, perceptions and in our desires and passions.

Aries is impulsive, adventurous energy which is impatient for physical action. However, we may be activated by fire and drive to take action and then suddenly changing our minds and shifting our focus to a whole new ‘passion’.

One door closes...another opens: Not this way, not now, not yet...listen for these signs!

Even though we have Mercury moving forward we may still experience some of the delays and blocks we experienced during the retrograde period. We are still acclimating to this energy and we don’t know what’s ahead and what potential can be accessed.

We might THINK we know but we need to put aside trying to pin everything down to one course of action. Of course, we may be all systems go but usually we find as Mercury moves forward we’re tweaking new ideas and bringing new information together.

Let the information flow in: Be open, receptive and patient!

All we need to do especially over these next few days is stay open to the insights and new possibilities presenting themselves. Mercury's slowing adds extra potency to the downloads of information with new doorways opening. We don't have to make any hard and fast decisions for now. Allowing the ideas to present and flower in our minds and hearts can lead us forward on the paper chase of the discovery process.

Covering old territory...easy does it! Big messages coming through!

Mercury remains in shadow retrograde until 20th May. It's quite a significant shifting time as Mercury is tracking back over previously covered ground and our insights should be increasing as we move out of the ‘fog’. This is when the potency of the retrograde period manifests in our lives. Big messages coming through as we move forward once again.

Physical body:

Let’s not forget that Mercury rules the respiratory system, nervous system as well as arms and legs. Aries rules the head so we may experience some head clearing energies, eyes, sinuses etc. as well as the lungs. I know quite a few people who have been experiencing head colds, throat problems, headaches and breathing problems. We clear old energies through the breath so keep bringing the light into the head and lungs.

20th May: Mercury leaves shadow retrograde in the early degrees of Taurus

Mercury moves out of shadow retrograde just as the Sun moves into Gemini, the sign of communication. How good is that! Mercury will still be in Taurus which will keep us grounded and steady, a real plus for bringing new ideas and projects into the physical realm. Taurus wants it to be slow, steady and thorough. There’s no giving up when Taurus is in the driver’s seat.

We’re heading towards the Full Moon in Scorpio on 11th May AEST. Scorpio rules life, death, rebirth and transformation so this full moon will be a beauty for dropping off any excess baggage...always good to do at any full moon.

Mercury is an air sign and is the messenger. This group of birds is offering all kinds of messages to us, the most important being the message of love. Just be aware that the world is full of information and misinformation and that our best advice comes from within, our divine self who sees the big picture. The world is in full chattering mode and it can be a huge distraction. It’s our choice to get on the peace train and let it take us forward with ease and grace.
