We’re now travelling in the light of the Cancer Sun, the energies of the New Moon in Cancer and the potential turbulence of the eclipse energies.

 

Maintaining balance, strengthening spirit and releasing any sense of tedium

Add to this the backwards/forwards energies of the retrograding planetary demands which keep us on the soft shoe shuffle accommodating shifts and turns and derailing expectations and plans with a suddenness which can throw us off balance.These energies are guaranteed to confront mindsets and beliefs and offer alternative pathways to accepting a new paradigm for living.  We are being forced to change.

There is no risk management for retrograde planets

I’m sending this personal info out as it’s a perfect example of retrograding planets and how they can impact our lives.  I know I’m being pushed very hard as are so many of us. 

 

For all who are feeling the emptiness as old ‘attachments’ disconnect, we’re needing to renew faith in a ‘dream’, an unknown dream which brings joy, peace and love to our world, personal and planetary.  This week offers a renewal of heart and spirit as Venus and Mars bring renewed fire, drive and returning clarity to our heart centre.

Neptune continues in the long term journey through his home sign of Pisces. He moved into Pisces in 2011 and will be there until 2026 guaranteeing a slow change process in the collective unconscious, an expansion and raising of spiritual consciousness across all humanity. 

It’s our choice...

enslavement or mastery

Pisces rules both victim consciousness and spiritual mastery, the last sign in the zodiac.  It can bring periods of withdrawal from the world whether to meditate in isolation in a cave, imprisonment mentally and/or physically.  Institutions such as hospitals, mental institutions, prisons as well enslavement come under Pisces rulership.

We cannot experience the full gamut of freedom until we have experienced oppression.  These themes may emerge in the artistic sphere in the coming months. ‘The lockdown’ may bear interesting fruit.

In a time of reflection, inspiration is born and creative channels are opened:

Rapid spiritual growth is on offer in Pisces retrograde time as we feel the incllnation to draw back  from the world to reflect, to tune in to the inspiration on offer for artistic pursuits. 

Pisces brings forth all ’fluid’ and flowing forms of expression such as art/painting/moulding, music, poetic forms of writing, dance and movement.

This symbol sets the tone and agenda for Neptune’s retrograde journey.  The need to feel safe, nurtured and comfortable is high on the priority list across the planet.  The retrograde period takes us back  over old ground possibly reaffirming within us that all is well as any memories of separation from higher consciousness, divine and earthly protection are released.  As we reassure ourselves, we offer that reassurance to others.

He also has a “Little White Lamb”, an animal companion, one he can be with, hug and enjoy. In our early years it was the sense of touch that was initially satisfied. If you felt cradled and comfortable, you could grow knowing that all was safe and well. You could find yourself in a place of privilege; cradled from those things that could hurt or challenge you, having someone to look after you. Conversely, you could be the one who’s always there for others, supporting and loving them regardless of who they are or where they’re from. Being protected by higher, more aware, energies. Privileges of money and social status. Helpers, servants. Care. Being watched over and watching over others. Children.and new teachings.

7th August: Venus enters Cancer

Freedom from the heartbreak held in the mind to divine reunion: 

Venus now emerges from her retrograde journey into the labyrinth of self discovery,exploration and reclamation of the fragmented pieces of heart which we lost in past traumatic events or experiences.

Venus has been clearing those threads of memory held in the mental body, the ‘heartbreak’ held in the mind.  As we emerge from the retrograde journey, we are likely to start coming to realise just how much pain and heartache has been cleared.  It may not be overnight.  Just open to a gradual new lightness in the heart.

A gradual sense of growing peace and harmony being restored:  Watch for the signs

We’ve been working on bringing harmony and peace to our mind, our mental body.  Gemini is all about bringing duality into oneness and releasing conflict from within and without. How much we’ve grown and progressed with coming to peace will gradually reveal itself from now until Venus moves out of shadow retrograde on July 29th. 

Mars in Aries will fire the passions:  Opening to the joy of a creative heart, divine mind

Mars moving into his own sign of Aries is likely to heighten the fire and drive which could manifest as passion or anger so it will be important to remember to harness these fiery impulsive energies, to bring them through the heart which is seeking to fly with newly awakened ideas. Retrograde Neptune wiil be activating the imagination offering new visions and possibilities. Love is in the air.

Mercury will be taking us on a discovery tour of the past, rich pickings for our fertile creative imagination which is offering up ideas, creative potentials and artistic promise. 

Turn on your heartlight

Revisiting the past is likely to take on a whole new energy from karmic release of old pain to a newfound joy of recognition of our life’s ‘movie’ seeing it as a tapestry of experiences, a broad canvas telling our story.  

Many may feel the urge to ‘tell’ their story in some artistic expression...art. music, writing, dance.  Be open to this urge as it will feed into the Mars in Aries fire in a positive way.

This symbol definitely seems to encapsulate our inner journey with Venus, seeking the inner gold.  Now, as we emerge from the labyrinth, it is up to us to find the ‘pieces of eight’, the promise of a ‘rich’ reward from a speck of gold, a promise of something far greater, the potential for joy as we come to the surface.  i suggest we may find some wonderful insights when we bring together the fire of Mars, the heart/mind of Gemini possibilities, the creative artistry of Neptune and the rediscovery, reclamation of past projects, memories, people, ideas with Mercury in Cancer.

The urge to get moving will be irrepressible with the future beckoning whilst clarity may be a little hard to find.  The retrograding planetary energies are still clouding the skies even as we seek to make sense of and negotiate the fields of economic, social and political change.

Mars in Aries for a 6 month period!

This is a ‘shoot first ask questions later’ kind of energy, impulsive, impatient for action. We’ll be experiencing this rocket powered fuel for 6 months, an extended period of time thanks to a retrograde period from 10th September to 15th November.

What about me?  Identity, ego, equity, partnership...the desire to be seen and heard

In Astrology, Aries rules the 1st house which is all about the identity, the driving force for action in the world.  The challenge for us all is the evolution of consciousness from the limitations of ego centred identity to the divine ‘I am’. Partnership, equity and justice

With so much energy focussed on the self, Libran issues of partnership, equity and justice will arise as we all seek to claim and/or reclaim our right to sovereign power.  We are all aware of the escalation of these desires manifesting across the planet for some years now.

Individual versus society

This year has seen this whole individual versus society balancing act coming to the fore. Many people have been blinded by consumerism, the mass ‘drug’ that lulls us to sleep in a comfort zone reliant upon economic buoyancy, employment and money flow. Many are now unplugged from the drug. The world is now effectively in drug rehabilitation with all its attendant traumatic release. 

Mars is the God of War so we need to be aware of using our fire power to take on the battles of old under the guise of the old paradigm of ‘fight or flight’. Mars in Aries fuels desires which can work for us or against us.

Finding our motivation, our get up and go:  

Fuelled up with fire...where are we directing our energies? 

What’s our motivation?

The spiritual journey demands for us to be self focussed as we examine our lives, our motives, actions, thoughts, emotions and desires.  As we undertake this process we move from selfishness into self knowledge and understanding of our place in the world. 

Desire for relationship, romance, physical attraction

This next 6 months offers a perfect time to gain more perspective on what drives us, floats our boat with the joy and passion of life.  This may well be the desire for relationship...don’t be surprised.  With Venus now emerging from retrograde, chances are we’re opening our hearts and desires to connection with a significant other.

Physical healing:

Mars is ruler of the physical body.  The head is a particular focus for this energy.  Watch out for headstrong behaviour that can initiate accidents,

We’re on a new trajectory with the New Moon eclipse kickstarting both the solar and lunar month ahead.  With Venus now moving direct followed by Mars revving up our motors, there’ll be the urge to get moving...but where?  

We may be on the Cancerian seashore held by Mercury retrograde but the eclipse energies put us into a different dimension, a leap of faith time where together we take on new risks, new challenges which may feel like we’ve got our backs to the wall. 

This coming week is offering the energy to come out of lethargy or any sense of futility.  We have a ‘voice’ individually and collectively and we’ll be finding new avenues for our expression.  We need to find the right way for us and to allow all to release the ‘pressure cooker’ energies in safety,

It’s not easy meeting the system without compromising ourselves but we can do it...one step at a time.

It’s negotiating the system for a win/win.
