1st November 2020: Full Moon in Taurus, 4th November Mercury direct

  

Hi everybody!

We’re travelling in the light of the Scorpio Sun, a time when we are called to let go of the past and keep letting go.  It’s a time of ‘psychic’ death when old identities, old realities of other times and places are being called ‘home’, released from our beings, from our cell memories.  Parts of us are ‘dying’.  That’s Scorpio energy.   

 

Spiritually we are at death’s door:  

Dying, being reborn,  re-calibrating physically

When we release these memories, we may well have a feeling that we are dying, that we are at death’s door. It may be a feeling of breathlessness, faintness, a sense that we’re out of our bodies. These sensations could last a minute, could take us to the doctor or hospital with a sense that something big is happening in our body. We need to reassure ourselves that all is well. Do whatever is necessary. 

Deep in the Scorpio Cave for Halloween, All Saints Day:  Gather your ghosts!

We are now psychically, deep in the Scorpio cave about to get some illumination from the Full Moon in Taurus, directly opposite the Sun.  Falling on 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, Halloween and early on the morning of the 1st, All Saints Day in Southern Hemisphere, this Full Moon scenario really enhances the energy of this time. 

 

Halloween:  

A thinning of the veil between worlds Resurrection! 

Halloween is when there is a thinning of the veil between the worlds, when our senses are opened to ‘the other side’, when we can gather in some lost aspects, fragments of the self who have been wandering in the astral plane, waiting in our memory banks for reclamation and release. 

If ever there was a time for recovery of what has been lost, for release for what has been trapped in a time warp...this is it!  Bring out your ‘dead’. 

Maybe some old ghosts can be laid to rest...maybe not:  

We do what we can and then let go

Full Moons are always good for connecting to the unconscious, the other side of the veil, for reconciliation with loved ones now gone from earthly life. We can make these connections positive if that is to be.  With unresolved wounds and tensions still in play in these past relationships we can only come to peace with ourselves and allow these old energies to move on.  Letting go of the pain and regret.

Three worlds all interconnected:

Taurus is the world tree, its roots reaching down into Mother Earth helping us to be within the earth as well as on the earth. It is represented in many cultures as the linchpin supporting the heavens, connecting us into the earth and taking us into the underworld.

The Full Moon in Taurus opposite the Scorpio Sun is very much about reaching to the cosmos even as we ground our roots deep into the soil of Mother Earth while engaging with the caves of the underworld. What a Halloween full moon!

Taurus, ruled by Venus, offers us all the abundant gifts of the earth herself, opening up to us the rich potential of her bounty to all those who are willing to receive. The key to receiving is an open heart filled with gratitude and the belief that the universe brings us everything we need.

Love, money, self-worth and self-love:

Any or all of these areas come up for reflection and/or insight at this Full Moon which could hit us like a bolt out of the blue.  We can put that down to Uranus at 8 degrees sitting right on top of the full moon. 

The Full Moon is all emotion, a time when what has been hidden is revealed, when blocked emotions can suddenly burst out of us in a huge release. 

 

Potential release from the physical body:

With the moon in Taurus, any emotional release will offer a freeing up within our physical bodies as the deeply buried suppressed memories and emotions are activated.  

Taurus energy buries deep and at the full moon in Taurus, we can access those deep emotions. It’s a gift.  

 

Venus in Libra opposing/challenging Chiron in Aries:  

Heart healing on offer for relationships

An opportunity for some open heart surgery and healing with the willingness to do some ‘speaking therapy’, the Chiron ‘cure’.  If it erupts, let it out and let it flow as it is necessary healing. Uranus sitting on the Full Moon is the lightning striker which could provide the trigger for release of buried emotions.

Be open to any sudden emotional releases from self or others

Given that this aspect occurs in the light of the Full Moon with its capacity for high emotion and lightning strike releases of energy, be aware of sudden explosive releases which offer healing and resolution as buried emotions emerge and finally words are expressed which have been suppressed.

It is likely to be about ‘me and you’, the individual needs and emotions within the relationship.

Breathe a sigh:  Mercury coming out of the retrograde labyrinth! 

Finally we come to that time when Mercury turns direct.  It feels like a long retrograde but I put it down to that week when he stationed retrograde in Scorpio when we had so many other challenging energies.  What a crazy mixed up week. The stationing of Mercury at this time is not likely to be as chaotic and challenging as when it stationed retrograde, just 3 weeks ago.  This time Mercury doesn’t hang around on the same degree for a whole week. Things will get moving sooner.

 

Restoring clarity to our minds:  

Making sense of life with renewed vision...’I can see clearly now’

As Mercury moves forward again, we gradually start feeling clarity about issues that were clouded over in confusion these past weeks.  Yes, we have been collecting ‘data’ during retrograde as we are given new views of the world, our world and our perspectives.  We’ve been turned around, upside down and inside out so our fixed minds can be disrupted.  Now, we can start making sense of life in new ways.  We’re still treading old ground as Mercury will be in shadow retrograde until 20th November.

 

Putting things back into balance and harmony:  

Repairing the damage...fresh start!

The focus is still on relationships as Mercury only moved into Libra on 28th October travelling retrograde. Since then we may have been repairing damage incurred through miscommunication, misunderstandings through the retrograde period. 

During retrogrades, timing is off and knowing when to speak or act and when to wait can cause all kinds of problems.  Now we can talk things through with clarity as we speak from the heart.

 

Partnerships, communication, commerce:  We’re back in business! 

Remember, Libra rules all one on one partnerships including family, friends and business associates.  And with Mercury, ruler of commerce in this sign, it’s always important to take note of any business negotiations, discussions, agreements, contracts occurring during this period.  

The day or two either side of Mercury’s station as well as the day itself are the times most likely to be affected by the change of direction with mix ups, confusions, delays, deals falling through.  Traditionally not a good time to buy, sell or sign. When Mercury moves direct, we’re back in business.

 

Just an observation on the American election:  

Anything is possible or impossible

With the American election falling on 3rd November, it’s anybody’s guess how Mercury stationing could impact on the day, the outcome and I wouldn’t speculate.  Logically the most likely impact could be technological glitches, delays in results, taking extra time to get a result.  But then, Astrology is not an exact Science, so none of this could happen.  Just stay open and watch.  After all, this year has been ‘unexpected’ throughout.

 

 

An interesting Sabian Symbol for Mercury’s emergence:

Sabian symbol degree for Mercury’s emergence from the retrograde labyrinth is an interesting one which really seems aligned with current planetary forces.  One of the symbols I use for Libra is the peace dove and the eagle is a Scorpio symbol. Mercury will be travelling direct through Libra, moving into Scorpio on 11th November.  I love this degree which encapsulates the energies of this year, this time in evolution. The Sabian degree sets the tone for the next stretch of Mercury’s journey, at least until out of shadow on November 19th at 11 degrees Scorpio.

AN EAGLE AND A LARGE WHITE DOVE TURNING CONSTANTLY INTO EACH OTHER

23rd October 2020: Sun to Scorpio, 28th Mercury retrograde enters Libra, Venus enters Libra

Hi everyone!

The last rays of the Libran Sun hopefully see us floating, going with the flow as Mercury and Mars help us recover some precious knowledge from the past as well as bringing healing relief to our shattered bodies and soul.  That’s the current challenge as we balance, find a place of peace within as we deal with the somewhat jangly energies hitting us at this time. 

 

Not a lot of movement in our everyday world but huge growth and inner expansion on offer to raise our vibrations, expand our vision and maintain focus on our deepest desires for ourselves and the world. That’s why ‘floating’ is the way to go.

 

Embrace the opportunities embedded in the past:  

The ‘old’ is a rich resource

Marking time, as it seems, can drain the spirit of fire and drive, of the energy we need for new, exciting projects and directions. We are doing so much ‘old’ energy, the new can’t really come in just yet. The world is stuck on ‘idle’ as in a car idling. Embrace the opportunities emerging from the past...the stories, the pictures, the talents, the ideas, the emotions. It’s a rich minefield of opportunity for joy and celebration.

Major transformation is Scorpio’s priority so it’s now time to pull out all the stops and go for gold.  Most of us probably feel we’ve been doing this but there’s still a few more rivers and bridges to cross as we head towards the end of 2020 but we know we’re in the final stretch.

 

No holds barred Mars and Mercury retrograde:  Shedding skins intensification

Scorpio rules life, death, rebirth, transformation and major life changes.  There’s no holds barred in this next stretch of time with Mars and Mercury already transforming the mental and physical bodies as we heal the past, clear the past, recover the past.  The Scorpio solar month encompasses and extends beyond these retrograde periods.

All Mercury retrograde periods have the potential to be a mish mash of communication where we can be at cross purposes with each other. We’ve just come out of an intense period when communication has been getting a major work over, challenges to change our communication big time, feeling the need to be with ourselves, to understand ourselves. We could have thus experienced confusion in relationship communication.  

 

Let the heart do the talking:  Mopping up relationship fall out!

Now with Mercury going into Libra, still retrograde, we’re being pushed to address outstanding relationship issues in communication. 

 

Some of these issues may have been stirred up with Mercury retrograding through Scorpio.  If so, now it’s mopping up the damage time. Venus in Libra will be supporting us even as Mercury brings up old relationship issues. Venus is in the present.  Let the heart lead.

 

Still ‘moonwalking’ into the past:

Remember we are still ‘moonwalking’ going back in time connecting with old issues in relation to our mind, mindsets and beliefs.  

And now of course, we may well be revisiting old issues of relationships as well as the possibility of past ‘partners’ reappearing either in our dreams or in person. 

Slips, trips, falls, accidents and delays still possible:

Remain extra aware of all movement, methods of locomotion as slips, trips, falls and accidents are all too common in retrograde time, especially Mercury retrograde time when our mind tends to wander and we feel more tired than usual.

Nothing is fixed and solid during Mercury retrograde so we can’t generally count on situations remaining the same once Mercury moves direct.

How much do you want it?  How much do want the power of love?

Venus, ruler of our heart, is ruler of Libra as well as Taurus so we get two months every year when love is on tap, available, waiting for us to choose, waiting for us to open our hearts.

And that means opening our hearts to ourselves with unconditional love, dropping all the self-judgements and criticisms. Make this number one priority in the awareness department. Stop the personal beat ups of the self. 

 

Love, beauty harmony and peace:  Balance, equity, justice, partnerships

In Libra time, like Taurus it’s about love, beauty and harmony but Libra has a particular focus on partnership, peace, equity and justice. Even though Libra is ruled by the heart energy, it is an air sign giving focus to the mental energy and the mind.

 

Bringing love to the mind is definitely on the agenda. As one of the dual signs, the key is to bring balance to our minds and hearts as well as to partnerships.

17th October 2020: New Moon in Libra

  

Hi everybody!

 

In the light of the Libran Sun we’re in a profound time of karmic resolution, when divine justice is front and centre. Of course, Libra brings this energy every year but at this time on the planet we are rapidly shifting consciousness as more and more of our number turn away from the old world of fight and flight to seek refuge in peace and harmony. The fact is we’re so tired, not just of this year but of a lifetime, lifetimes of doing battle in the world.

 

The global makeover of 2020:  Out of disruption and chaos...new growth

The everyday challenges of 2020 have been exceptional with the world and its systems disrupted, a disruption predicted by  astrologers for years.  How that would come about was an unknown quantity. However, it’s certainly demanding a change in our thinking and our everyday lives. 

 

Libran Time:  The balancing act!

2020 is the energy of double 2, a 4 year. Even as the old foundations are being disrupted and disturbed, we are establishing new ones.  Our ‘bones’ and framework may be breaking but the healing continues.

 

It’s a tricky pathway to the hope of harmony and love:

The promise of Libra is peace and love but the path through this time involves negotiation, conversations with ourselves and others as we bring things back into balance that were out of balance.

 

14th October:  Mercury ‘stationing’

Whew!  This has been a powerful one from 13th to 15th as I write.  Confusion all around, exhaustion and addled thinking sums up what it has been for many of us.  Trying to get a catnap to give myself breathing space seemed out of the question. Hoping that these influences will lessen once Mercury gets moving from the 17th October.

 

Let’s hope this initial confusion and exhaustion isn’t setting the tone for the Mercury retrograde period of the next 3 weeks. With our two movers and shakers, Mercury and Mars both in retrograde, it will be a slow few weeks with the promise of action from 4th November when Mercury moves direct in Libra and then 14th November when Mars stations direct.

 

It was a bit challenging getting this update completed as my mind wanted to switch off and wander in the Scorpio cave. Happy New Moon everyone and hope we all get it together somehow over the next few weeks.

 

The big identity makeover this year:  

Mars retrograde in Aries...highlighted at the New Moon in Libra

With Mars currently retrograde in Aries, the focus is vey much on identity, the battle to be ‘me’ without condemnation, criticism or judgement being meted out. And with the Sun travelling in Libra, birthing the Libran New Moon on 17th, committed one on one partnerships are right in line for possible disruption as our spirit rises up and confronts ongoing possibly long term suppression of identity in partnership.  

It doesn’t have to be a battleground if all parties can hear out the other. This could be marriage, family, employers, colleagues.

 

Issues arising at the personal level are really challenging us to get down to basics, to our deepest values, our most important priorities and most of all to see ourselves through loving eyes, accepting ourselves with all our human 'shortfalls'.  Let's remember so many of these perceived 'shortfalls' derive from the construct of societal benchmarks.

 

Reclaiming shadow aspects with love:

When we feel most vulnerable, we are open to feeling love and compassion for ourselves and our personal struggles.  We are finding new aspects of ourselves that have been hidden, buried, gifts, talents which have never been recognised let alone utilised. As we accept Mars gift of courage to be ourselves, our inner fire and drive ignites.

 

Be patient, this navel gazing time is with us until 13th November when we start to get the full picture.  However, Mercury retrograde in Scorpio is also revealing secrets of the mind and Venus is cleansing our heart of pain and projections, arrows of rejection from others.

Birthing peace

Looking for the higher vision, restoring peace and harmony: The Libran New Moon births our new lunar month in the hope that we can build peace, harmony and love, that we will raise our spirits in this troubled world and look to the dove of peace, the dove of the holy spirit  to lift up our vision and hearts to restore our faith in the ideal. The Sun and Moon are aligned, united in focus and purpose.

 

Plant the seeds with a view to the potential: Fly high sweet dove!

The New Moon is the darkest time of the lunar month, a time when we set the intent, and plant the seeds for the next month.  I’ve taken some poetic licence with the image as it seemed to capture the essence of the potential for this month and to remind us of the ideal of peace and love, the light of the holy spirit pouring into us.

Love, partnership, marriage, justice and equity:  United we stand!

Libra rules love and committed partnership, marriage, equity, justice, peace and harmony.  Venus as ruler of Libra is the overarching energy. How much do we value love?

We’re called to bring partnerships into peaceful resolution of any 

outstanding issues.  This includes business partnerships and all one-on-one partnerships of friends, in the family. How much can we achieve when we’re on the same page?

With Mars retrograde in Aries opposing the New Moon, we find our ‘I am’ divine self rising up to express the self, the identity within context of the partnership.  That’s the ideal.  Or we could find our ego wanting to do battle with any partnership situation whether at work, home, family, marriage.  The individual spirit wants equity and justice.  How we go about that is

up to us.

Capricorn team of 3 challenging the New Moon:  

A growth opportunity!

The Capricorn team of 3 are still very much in play squaring off to/challenging the New Moon and Mars forming a T-square.  The ‘missing leg’ of the T-square in Cancer is where we might find resolution of any conflicts, disagreements or battles that may arise during this next lunar month. Cancer rules the past, ancestors, home, family, childhood home, mother. Any or all of these areas may provide answers to resolution of conflict.

 

Saving graces:  Planetary aspects that uplift and mitigate the challenges of this New Moon

The New Moon/Sun in positive trine to the north lunar node of Gemini:  Whooo!  Up we go!

Opening the door to higher consciousness, the communication channels with higher consciousness, with the emphasis on elevating our language and communication in relationships, one on one partnerships. 

The need to communicate our thoughts and feelings within partnerships is key to building relationships. The words need to come from truth, the truth of who we are and how we really feel without fear of being mocked or put down with the knowledge that we are revealing ourselves, feeling safe to be vulnerable. This is just one of the themes for this new moon.  With Mercury retrograde, all manner of confusion can be unravelled.

 

Venus in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces:  Our heart rises!

Our hearts are in the purification process, shedding projections and reflections from others, bringing ourselves into the truth of who we are.  As we discover our true feelings emerging from the collected chaos of life’s relationships, we hear the call of Neptune in Pisces, elevating our hearts to that of higher consciousness. 

 

If, however, we are still in process with the purification, this New Moon will help us disconnect from the emotional whirlpool of the collective unconscious. 

 

The state of unconditional love on the planet:  

It’s an ideal, an aspiration, a deep desire

The Libran New Moon  offers the potential of unconditional love, of love beyond fighting for supremacy, a love that depends upon acceptance without sacrificing our idealism, upon the belief and understanding that people across the world want to be loved and accepted for all that they are without provisos or conditions placed upon them.  

We’re far from achieving this state of love on the planet. The divorce courts, domestic violence figures and employment injustices will testify to the state we’re in as far as achieving harmony, peace and love in our committed partnerships.

Think pink! 

We’re in the month of pink, the invitation to love and peace within and without. But are we ‘in the pink’?   As the anger continues to erupt around the world, it’s our call to hold steady, access the light of higher consciousness and thus access the ‘magical’ manifesting power in the rectification of imbalances. With so much emphasis on our physical world this year, the dense energies of Capricorn, our physical bodies have been a huge focus for our healing process.  

We are progressing, just ever so slowly as Capricorn demands, one step a time. Well this lunar month promises a little light fluffiness if we can fill our hearts, minds and bodies with pink light.  Keep working with the gold or whatever colour comes to mind and finish with a flush of pink unconditional love. 

 

There are some tense times coming up as we enter the Scorpio solar month on the 23rd October but Mercury and Venus both entering Libra on 28th will help us align hearts and minds in Libra.  What a balancing act!

 

Love and blessings to us all as we negotiate these last months of 2020.  The light is at the end of the tunnel as by mid November Mercury and Mars will both be moving forward and then....whooosh!  On to December’s big change heralding new ways for 2021.
