Hi everyone!
We’re travelling under the Virgo Sun for a few more
days, until 23rd. In the eclipse change process, we’re receiving healing for
our physical lives, bodies, finances, divine pathway forward from the rays of
the Virgo Sun.
In honour of Saturn’s big shift into Sagittarius, I’ve
posted a picture of horses grazing, at a standstill in honour of Saturn reining
in and focussing the Sagittarian urge for movement. With Mercury
stationing/coming to stillness and turning retrograde on the same day as
Saturn’s move to Sagittarius, the message of slow and steady is doubly so at
this time.
Eclipses bring sudden and unexpected
changes:
Despite this, we’ve had a spiritual acceleration of
consciousness with the New Moon Solar Eclipse which will continue to bring in
sudden and unexpected changes. Often these changes have been ‘in the air’ for
some time without any shift taking place. Now, the eclipses bring those changes
into reality with startling wake-up calls and/or joyful release. It’s like the
dam wall has burst and we can feel change is happening.
So it’s a strange mix of slow and steady movement with
sudden shift boosting us along. With Mercury retrograde it’s often two steps
forward one step back.

This
past Sunday (September 13, 2015) was a partial eclipse of the sun as seen from parts of
South Africa and Antarctica. At the same time, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory
(SDO) – a satellite in geosynchronous orbit around Earth – caught a rare double
eclipse of the sun, first by Earth
and then by the moon. NASA said that SDO sees dozens of Earth eclipses and
several lunar transits each year from its vantage point in space. This is the
first time it has seen two happening at once! NASA explained:
Just as the moon came into SDO’s field of view on a path to cross the sun, Earth entered the picture, blocking SDO’s view completely. When SDO’s orbit finally emerged from behind Earth, the moon was just completing its journey across the sun’s face.
View from Earth: Meanwhile,
back on Earth on September 13, people in South Africa and parts of Antarctica
were seeing a partial eclipse of the sun. That is, the moon was passing in front
of the sun, clipping one edge of it, as shown in the photo below from an
EarthSky community member.

Back to the
‘future’/past: ‘Not THIS again!’...into the
labyrinth!
Mercury retrograde periods take us
over ‘old’ territory. It can feel like we’re in a labyrinth where we’re
treading the same pathway over and over again until we come to clarity, about
ourselves, our lives and our direction in life.
Mercury retrograde:
Memories and messages...revisiting, reclaiming, releasing
the past!
Mercury is the messenger. Be open to the messages arising from
deep within the subconscious, from the memory. Time becomes fluid as we move
back over people, places, experiences, ideas, hopes and dreams from past times.
We may well find the desire to resurrect something from
our past that was once discarded. It may be a past relationship, an idea, a
project, a dream. Through visiting and being visited by the past we discover
possible treasures as well as old ‘baggage’ that needs final release.

Mercury in Libra:
Balance, divine justice,
love, harmony and beauty...partnership, relationship with self and
others!
Mercury has been in
Libra since 28th August so we are familiar for this energy. It will be in Libra
until 2nd November so there’s plenty of time to sort out the imbalances in
ourselves, our minds and in our lives. Remember, Mercury is our mental energy,
our mind power. If you’ve experienced ‘split thinking’ syndrome, the conflicted
mind, then this is a perfect time to bring both sides of the mind into harmony
and peace.
Two steps forward, one step back: Nothing’s set
in concrete!
Be at peace in the ambivalence, the centre
ground!
During Mercury retrograde, we’ll be checking and double
checking what’s outstanding in terms of imbalances in our thinking and in our
lives. Coming in the middle of the eclipse vortex of energy, the likelihood of
changing our minds and our lives is doubled. Nothing is fixed in a Mercury
retrograde period and eclipse energies indicate there’s much to be revealed. We
still have the Full Moon eclipse on 28th September when we will have much
revealed about our place and our life direction (Aries Full Moon eclipse) in the
world.
Retrograde periods bring the
opportunity for huge inner acceleration and growth!
Make the most of the insights and understandings that
come forward at this time. It doesn’t mean nothing is happening physically.
It’s more likely that when we do take action, it will be for our best progress
as we’re more in tune with our higher self and the cosmos. After all, we’re
travelling under the New Moon in Virgo solar eclipse energy, so physical changes
will be happening as a result of our inner voice calling for it. Stay tuned and

Saturn finishes up his 2 year sojourn in
Scorpio, the sign of life, death, rebirth and transformation. I think
we'd agree it's been a couple of years of intense change personally and globally
as we've been challenged to take our authority in a whole new way.
Slow and steady wins the
race: Tell that to Sagittarius!
Saturn is ‘Old Father Time’, a
slow steady, patient and methodical energy which gradually builds structures
which support our security and sense of security in this earthly
existence.
There’s no second best with Saturn. Do it thoroughly
with a lasting value! Saturn’s in for the long haul and rewards the steady
progress that builds solid foundations.

Saturn contains energy and demands focus on what
has to be achieved to build and construct a stable foundation for our lives.

Sagittarius is an
expanding, fiery force for change meets slow and steady
Saturn!
All fire and go energy,
Sagittarius is urging Saturn to go bigger, to move faster and to take on the
world. However, Saturn will not be rushed! through the next 2 years, we’ll
need to work with the balancing of these two energies through focussing our
fiery driving energies on steady progress.

The seeker looking for ‘the philosopher’s stone’, how to
turn base metal into gold. With Sagittarius, that search is within the book of
knowledge, the book of life. With Sagittarius energy, we often feel the urge to
travel to ‘foreign’ places whether within or beyond our own nation. The urge
for movement, discovery and exploration is often strong enough for us to pack
our bags and take to the road.
The call to take to the open road: The urge to
move!
Then again, the learning, growth and discovery process
may take us to places of learning possibly academic or ‘spiritual’ places of
learning. Remember, we can ‘travel’ within our imagination and our inner world
connecting to divine wisdom within and without.
We are the world: Barriers,
boundaries and beliefs!
Saturn rules government and systems so it will be
interesting to watch when it moves into Sagittarius which rules amongst other
things foreign connections, travel, belief systems, growth and expansion.
The current
world refugee crisis is taking us all including governments to new places in our
thinking and in seeking solutions for all the homeless, displaced people in our
world.
The next 2 years of Saturn in Sagittarius promises a global rethinking
of what it means to be an earthling, challenging our rusted on belief systems,
all ideologies including political and religious. A big rethink will be
happening regarding our spirituality as people of different cultures and
ideologies come face to face with each other possibly challenging each other for
the support and resources needed for survival and prosperity on the planet.
Saturn, Lord of Karma: Raising the roof! Raising
consciousness! Progress and release through opening
minds and reaching for the sky!
Over the next 2 years, we’ll be shifting karmic
commitments and contracts through the Sagittarian energies of higher learning,
spirituality, law including divine law, philosophy, religion and the
communication spheres of teaching, learning, writing and publishing.
Sagittarius is a ‘reach for the sky’ kind of energy and
is offering us all the opportunity to shift huge karmic commitments for
ourselves and for our planetary family as our minds are opened to our divinity
and to divine solutions to age-old problems and issues.
As we reach for the Sagittarian promise of the rainbow,
we reach for hope and optimism, the gifts of Sagittarius. Don’t let stern
Saturn dampen the Sagittarian enthusiasm as we let go of the karmic burdens of
our earthly journey.

folks! We’re inside the eclipse vortex and now in the time warping energy of
Mercury retrograde. Saturn, Old Father Time, Mr Slow and Steady, Mr
Methodical, is starting off on a new journey in Sagittarian
country for the next couple of years. Every step take
in owning and acting on our divine authority will take us into the wider world
of expression and fulfilling our potential.
We’ve got a
big week coming up from 23rd, a huge culmination of energies at the end of this
month. We’re walking through some major doorways of consciousness both
personally and globally.
