from the chair: 13th January 2021: New Moon Capricorn

Hi everybody!

I’m late for the New Moon arrival but it’s all happening for the next month.

The Sun is shining away in Capricorn asking us to do the best we can with us not knowing how far we can go with this cosmic call of evolution. It’s a growth process which is a journey of discovery, a step at a time recognising our progress, ruminating on our learning and coming to a decision on the next step forward.

Crumbling of the old paradigm of ‘survival of the fittest’ through conflict:

The old castle ruins, symbolic of the crumbling paradigm of the status quo, stand as a reminder of what has been, what is passing away and the need for new structures built on new principles of peace and love.

Our physical bodies: Dissembled, disappointed? maybe disillusioned:

Many of us are feeling this in our physical bodies, the exhaustion of the long distance traveller pulled apart with the release of old ways of thinking, feeling, acting and being.

Leaping lizards! From primal to angelic!

We’re in the leap of faith, one foot in the past and one stretched out to the future...still in the letting go ‘is it safe to jump?’ process.

Personal planet gear shift last week: A little uncomfortable? Maybe.

It’s been somewhat uncomfortable for many of us with the personal planets having a gear change in the past week challenging us to adjust in one way or another, to how we were feeling, thinking and acting. There may have been some minor challenges that brought this gear shift to our notice. We can take heart from knowing that the personal planets move fairly quickly and their impact is a moment in time.

Mercury’s acting as guide in the social gear change of mindsets and thought processes:

New vistas and possibilities beyond our current vision!

The exception would be Mercury who’s in Aquarius for the next couple of months, thanks to a retrograde stretch, ensuring that the big societal ruled planets of Saturn and Jupiter are both clearing the way for new ideas and developing new mental consciousness.

Venus in Capricorn:

Activating hearts as the new guidance system, ‘the soft touch’ for success!

However, let’s not forget Venus in Capricorn who is asking us for a release of Saturn’s iron like fist of tradition in the control of us and our lives. This will ask us to keep coming back to our heart energy and asking for her guidance and soft touch of kindness, love and forgiveness as our new guidance system.

A call to birth a new power and authority in our lives!

As we see the old ways of domination through disempowerment being increasingly challenged, beginning to crumble and dissolve, we are called to consider our own personal individual power and authority.

Out of the eclipse vortex onto a new freedom road...but there’s no road?

We are saying farewell to the eclipse vortex we’ve been travelling since it’s opening mid December with the New Moon in Sagittarius Solar Eclipse which has had us on the roller coaster of change for the past 4 weeks.

Nowhere to go but up...to the stars!

The seeking of the Sagittarian ‘freedom road’ found us in the confusing cosmic signals of the Saturn/Jupiter move to Aquarius on the Solstice. Uh oh...the freedom of the cosmos beckoned but the only guide book is in the annals of science fiction! Where are you Dr Who?

It’s a social experiment in the new ‘internet’ with direct access to the stars when we turn off the 3D chatter, the ‘muggle’ gossip, innuendo, suppositions, false news etc. We’re awakening to pure information direct from the cosmos...if, if...our receiving channel is open and clear!

Saturn’s off the old train tracks releasing old dogma and benchmarks! Finding our Saturn authority in the unlimited thinking of Aquarius!

With Saturn, ruler of Capricorn now off the earth grid astrologically, travelling in the air sign of Aquarius, he’s discovering along with his planetary companion Jupiter and Mercury acting as ‘scout’ and tour guide, that he’s got new space and room to move.

Jupiter with his brief of expansion and growth is happy in the Aquarian element where the cosmos is the limit! Working with Saturn at this New Moon harnessing the power of limitation and expansion together is truly a magical task as we all come to adapt to this whole new scenario of the transformation of society and of the individual expression within society. If ever we were in a time of accessing unique potential and individual authority, this is it.

Venus in Capricorn is opening the door of opportunity for a huge healing of our spiritual wounds in relation to our masculine warrior selves, our egos and to our sense of identity in the world. This is crucial for us to move on through the new cosmic highway of Aquarius where it really is ‘all for one and one for all’, once the cry of the Three Musketeers, the fighting masculine warrior energy of past times.

But now we need the heart healing around success, failure, old Capricorn benchmarks, systems, governments and power bases of the old order. It’s in the hands of each individual to do what we can in our unique way, accepting our divine destiny and our personal brief.

Neptune 18 degrees Pisces squaring Lunar Karmic Nodes Gemini/Sagittarius 19 degrees

The karmic planetary lunar nodes have been in these signs since May 2020 and will be the evolutionary guiding force for humanity and the earth until January 2022.

Their message can be drawn from the old slogan ‘think global, act local’ and gives our focus to the Gemini North Node ‘act local’. This evolution of consciousness from the comfort zone of the old spiritual paradigm in Sagittarius, expansion and growth has been shaken up by the global pandemic which calls for us all to stay ‘local’.

Neptune in Pisces, squaring off to these Nodes, intensifying from October 2020 will continue to impact on us as it comes to an exact squaring of the nodes in the last week of January. Neptune in Pisces is bringing us all to accepting and surrendering to spiritual growth and expansion as a means of embracing the new way of life where travel and communication is localised.

In January 2022, the Nodes will move to Taurus/Scorpio with our planetary focus for growth in the sign of Mother Earth and where we are invited to let go of drama and crisis from the past.

Breakthrough!

Whew! That’s a relief! Been trying to break out of this room for months!

Uranus finds his way out of the navel gazing past few months where he has been giving us all shock treatment across the earth. Mother Earth has certainly been getting a wake up call as has humanity been aroused from the comfort zone.

Now we discover just how much our values have changed:

Finding new inner resources!

Uranus takes us to a higher perspective to change our thinking and in Taurus has been working his lightning strike magic on our values, self-esteem, gifts, talents, capacity for earned income as well as our body beautiful and love of all the earthly delights.

What do I need? Basic survival needs...what are they?

Alternative solutions!

Clearly this past year with the impact of the global lockdown, everyone’s been forced to consider their essential needs and the joys of life which offer the cream on the cake of our lives. What happens when our needs and desires are limited by the powers that be, by the authorities in the world, driven by a pandemic, an illness that spreads across multiple nations of the world.

Discovering inner resources, latent gifts, talents, problem solving!

We’ve been forced to seek alternative solutions to our problems, to discover those resources within us which are untapped, undiscovered, unrecognised in order to meet our needs and sustain our spirits.

Do what you love and the money will follow: Finding new ways of earning, latent talents!

Taurus is ruled by Venus and in Astrology Venus rules love and money. How many times do we hear the old adage ‘do what you love and the money will follow’ and yet still toe the party line and take on work that is not aligned with who we are.

How world changes can work for us:

The global shutdown has forced many to look for new kinds of employment. I know a couple of people who have done this and are happier in their new work than previous employment. So keep an open mind as to how restriction can bring about a change in the course of life and a path for accessing our destiny, fulfilment of our greatest potential.
